Mexican welterweight Jorge Silva has lashed out at Alfredo Angulo and his trainer Virgil Hunter. According to Silva, both Angulo and his trainer made statements that suggested performance enhancing drugs were being used by Silva on December 15th in Los Angeles. Silva took Angulo's best shots and fought the larger man in a toe to toe war, but came up shot with a ten round decision loss.

Silva (20-3-2, 16KOs) says he is ready for fight Angulo in a rematch, but this time he plans to have enough time to properly prepare - where the first time around Silva says he accepted the fight on late notice and dropped a rapid ten pounds to make the junior middleweight limit.

"[Angulo] should stop whining and concentrate on his career, as I am doing with mine. I'm right here for whatever he wants. They fought me when I wasn't even in condition and the puppy couldn't even do anything with me," Silva said.

I can't front, even though Silva lost a close one, he looked good in there. Dude didn't even have that many fights and was giving Angulo that work. He was outboxing dude and outfighting him in certain spots. He prolly would win a rematch.

yeah I had the fight close until after the 7th round then silva's output dropped a little and so did angulo's but angulo landed the harder shots which got him the win...that was not a fight that was supposed to go the distance at all...whoever made the decision for angulo to fight that cat fukked up...the previous fight for silva before that one was against this Japanese prospect Yoshihiro Kamegai who was like 21-0 with 19 ko's..that was another great brawl and silva gave him that work too and got shafted with a draw..i can easily see silva turn into a spoiler type cat that gives cats a hard night in the ring

Lopez is only relevant becuz when he fought Ortiz, who was leading on all the scorecards at the time the fight was stopped, Ortiz's jaw broke. I have no desire to see Lopez, or this fight. But since im an ardent fan, ill watch it. Not live, not when it airs, but eventually.

lopez is a live dog in this...he does have a tendency to get busted up though...maidana has the edge in power but can be dropped esp if you hit him in the body...I just want to see a great fight

to me, Maidana is such a crude fighter that you can never count a fighter out against him. Lopez may be able to do what Alvarez did to Rios. box when you want to box and fight when you want to fight.

Naazim on point. Just like I said....not to say Canelo isnt special but he has shown no evidence of that yet.

Also, the Watson Brothers are not twins! but everyone says that. One of them in his early 30's other in his late 20's.

This might be the rare moment where I actually watch the HBO card live and catch the Showtime card on the dvr.

I just hope my nikka is focused...had no training or trainer drama or any of that bullshyt...Stevenson has been on a roll since he was ko'ed by darnell boone. Im not excited about the gamboa fight in the least...he hasn't given me anything to be excited about based on that last fight of his
