this is why I dont like using the word duck anymore because it can be applied to anyone. if JMM ducked Morales then the same could be said of Floyd 3-fold. Floyd had many challenges who were still in their primes and very marketable. Floyd vs Popo couldve been HUGE. Likewise with Tszyu. He couldve had Stevie Johnson and Casamayor as well.

It didnt make sense to Morales when JMM was beltless and had no following but it made sense to him when he lost 5 out of 6 fights? The only thing he had to hang his hat on was the Pac win.

Anyone who doesnt know that Morales and MAB saw JMM as high risk/low reward :udontknow: Max Kellerman went apeshyt about it. Its like if Broner stays at 135 and refuses to face Crawford. There are legitimate business reasons why he shouldnt fight him but a duck is a duck. By the time JMM emerged from the shadows...El Terrible was getting the brakes beat off him.

The main thing JMM can be accused of his overpricing himself and going overseas to fight John for chicken change due to horrible management by Nacho.

As far as El terrible goes Are you forgetting the fight was damn near a formality around 2009-2010 and JMM ducked again, then in 2012 hid behind Arum

So Floyd ducked Tszyu is it his fought Tszyu lost to Hatton and then Floyd went to face the undefeated fighter, So Floyd ducked a nikka who got exposed by Kid diamond on Floyd undercard, I'm not even gonna waste time typingon Johnston, but what does JMM ducking has to do with Floyd

I am not taking either one of yallz side...but let me point out the differences.

Floyd makes $32 mil guaranteed plus PPV for fight with an unknown guy in Guerrero who doesnt even have a belt.

Roy fights Ruiz...(the guy who took the title from Holyfield) for $26 mil (and I dont believe Roy had broke 8 figures before or after that.)

Floyd making like $80 mil for fighting Ortiz and Mosley and such...

Roy goes back to fighting for $6 mil paydays.

After this fight....Floyd can fight Khan, Alexander, LM or Garcia, etc...and still make $32 mil guaranteed.

see the difference?

despite what you think, Floyd dont need Canelo to make 8 figures. he only signed a deal to pay him guaranteed money and for that, he is working with the network to make sure they to get burnt on the deal and everyone stays happy. he couldve done single fight deals and really cherry picked if he wanted easy bread.

Canelo is supposed to be the top dog, no matter how hard people hate May he gets props because like you said he dont need Canelo, as far as the Roy analogy(Nice rebuttal) but Roy fighting Ruiz is the equivalent of Floyd fighting Ishe Smith then running back to WW

Why didnt he have a nutritionist? He was making 7 figures BEFORE this fight.

I'll tell you why, because likely he is one of those types who like to come in heavy just for the sake of power and punch resistance.

If he is in great shape, he wont be gassed. He is a good fighter but not as seasoned as Ghost so I have difficulty seeing what he brings to the table that Floyd hasnt seen before except weighing in day of as a LHW (his only clear advantage)...which you seem to insist he wont do.

I guess he was making 154 without one so they figured why add an extra expense that isn't needed? But I'm sure they know he's oversized in his division, the same way Chavez Jr is @ MW. I still think he comes in at 170 tho. I also feel this fight is a mismatch as Canelo shouldnt be anywhere near a fight with Floyd. But it makes $ so that's why Floyd's in it. I expect a UD win for Floyd.

So what Morales lost to Garcia, Garcia is legit, he beat the last bit of prime left and then put the cherry on top in the second match, did you see how shot EM did Maidaina who Morales boxed the hell out of with one eye. The same Maidiana thats near the top of the WW rankings.................................. all around............

Floyd could retire. He also didnt have to sign with Sho. He knew signing that deal he was gonna have to fight the guy. He probably figured like the rest of us that GBP wouldnt sacrifice the kid so early. I am sure he was looking forward to fighting him in May...but hey, things dont always go as planned. Truthfully, this fight was Khan's...but he stayed getting fukked up. Instead of fukkin with 140lbers...he shouldve went up to 147 2 years ago....the thing is...his team didnt want to gamble with his jaw taking shots from a man weighing in with an extra 7 lbs.

Maidana is a fun guy to watch...but please dont bring him up as far as credibility. The guy is a known puncher but couldnt KO Khan and was getting work from Josesito. He gets done by LM...and I dont think that highly of his ass! Maidana is not a top tier fighter. He is a gatekeeper.
