He won 2 belts there. He's a Jr middle. If he wasn't, he shouldn't have fought there.

Pernell Whitaker beat a legit JMW champ. Vasquez was 53-1 when Pete beat him. He couldnt touch Pete. Still. Pete was no JMW. Pete had defended his WW title 4 times before beating Vasquez. After winning the JMW title...he defended his WW title another 5 times before facing ODLH for the biggest payday of his career. He only fought JMW once more (6 years after winning the title there) when he was completely washed up.

Why be so hard on Floyd for accepting he is a WW?

Who would you have Floyd face to defend his JMW title against in the past 6 years who wouldve brought more money than the guys he was fighting at WW?

sn: you do remember that the gap when Floyd won the title at 140 and when he won at 154 was almost exactly 2 years and only 1/2 year after becoming linear WW champ?

Maidana is a fun guy to watch...but please dont bring him up as far as credibility. The guy is a known puncher but couldnt KO Khan and was getting work from Josesito. He gets done by LM...and I dont think that highly of his ass! Maidana is not a top tier fighter. He is a gatekeeper.

hold on there breh :whoa:...I wouldn't call maidana a gatekeeper....that's a strong term for a man who's a former champ and has a record of 34-3 with 31ko's and has never been stopped...he's a contender

Longtime IBF mandatory light heavyweight challenger Karo Murat says he has been approved for a U.S. visa, just six days after Golden Boy Promotions pulled the plug on his scheduled July 13 title shot against IBF world champion Bernard Hopkins. “I am very relieved,” Murat told BILD. “I have my passport and can pick up my visa in the next few days.”

Unfortunately for Murat, the IBF has already ordered Hopkins to face Sergey Kovalev in his next defense. When Hopkins-Murat was cancelled last Friday, Golden Boy issued a statement saying the “the administrative process that would have to be undertaken in order for Murat’s visa petition to be reconsidered takes longer than six months.”

Team Sauerland is now trying to get Murat back into the picture.

Has he been paid step aside money or is GB trying to avoid a BHOP Kovalev fight

I think he can safely be moved to gatekeeper status. Lost to Kotelnik and Khan in title bids and Alexander who is a tier above him.

1st...he was never a legit champion. He picked up an "extra" belt when Khan already held the super version. So I dont count him as a champ.

2nd....he lost to Khan in a bid for the "actual" title

3rd....he never beat a legit champion at the time they held the belt, nor any former champ in his prime

lastly....not being stopped has nothing to do with it....plenty of gatekeepers who had iron jaws.

he is a guy who can win a title when the stars are aligned in his favor but a tier below Garcia and Matthysse who are the top two...and still below Khan who beat him already and Peterson who is still champ in that division and holds a trump victory over a Maidana conquerer.

his best win remains as the Ortiz stoppage.

He improved by leaps and bounds with his trainer change though, he still a small WW though, I question his chin with how Lopez was handling him, Lopez couldnt even stun Ortiz

If only Lopez could get a real deal trainer he'll be near the top of the pile at WW, a elite level coach wouldnt let him sit on the ropes, that shyt got him in trouble vs MM and Canelo, in the middle of the ring Lopez shows his talent and fundamentals, he like to dummy fight though he cant help it

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Roy was hw champ right?? So he shoulda fought heavyweights

:deadmanny: was champ at 154 so he shoulda fought 154 fighters not bring up fighters from 140

So we goin act like Floyd had no choice but to fight DLH at 154?? Floyd wasn't goin miss out on a mega fight N his biggest payday....unlike some people:smugbiden:

Then 6 years later Floyd needed a ppv fighter, Cotto was finally free from Arum N was comfortable at 154... a small jmw that wasn't goin to blow up to 170+ so he fought again at 154

Its cool for you to dikkride Manny how after Margarito he said the weight was an issue so its all good :deadmanny: shouldn't fight that high no more....but Floyd says after Cotto the weight is an issue but he's a bytch hes ducking canelo:beli:

:to:That's my gawd :troll:

nikka fukk you:pacspit:

Roy jumped in the ring with dudes 25+ lbs heavier than his weight class.. dudes 200+ lbs and won.. Floydie has never done anything that could compare to that

the nikka manny couldn't even make 147 in his fight against Margerito at weigh in... he was only 144 against a JMW who blew up to 165 at fight night... and the fight was for 150... not 154... he was never a true JMW champion..

but all this this is supposed to be the same as Floyd saying he prefers fighting guys at their comfortable weight after being victorious against Oscar and Cotto... yea they were both washed up, but thats why he fought them.. nikkas dont wanna admit that part though... Canelo comes along and crushes the buildings nowhere near as devastating as Pac did and then "um um Canelo has to drop to my weight" He looks on the coli and sees multiple nikkas calling him out on his hypocrisy then "um we can make the fight happen at JMW bu bu but it has to be at a catchweight...:dahell:

again...you are missing the point that nobody does shyt that they dont have to do. Roy never made more than $6 mil in a fight, went to heavyweight for one fight and made more than 4x that much. Floyd aint never had to do that.

Roy was hurt in the first round by Ruiz. It couldve been disastrous. Fortunately for him he won. If he didnt he still had $26 mil to count.

Now you tell me, why would Floyd (who is making $50 mil per fight) or anyone else for that matter take that chance when its not necessary? Just to say that they did it? :beli:
