Former IBF featherweight champion Billy “The Kid” Dib (35-2, 21 KOs) left Sydney Saturday for the USA and his showdown against Mike Oliver (25-3, 8 KOs) on July 5th at the Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, Connecticut. Southpaw Oliver, 33 years of age and at 5’5″ is two inches shorter than Dib. He is coming off a second round loss to Juan Manuel Lopez in 2011, but has wins over Al Seeger and Cruz Carbajal in 2007. Dib lost the IBF title to Evgeny Gradovich in March and is confident of an impressive win over Oliver and a rematch against Gradovich. Dib’s manager and brother Emaid said, “Billy has had good preparation for his bout against Mike Oliver who is a former IBO world champion. We’re confident Billy will bring his best to the ring on July 5 and score a impressive victory and earn a shot at Gradovich for the IBF title.” The Billy Dib vs. Mike Oliver will be televised on ESPN2. The promoter is 50 Cent.

didnt I say this the other day? I knew this fight would be made...it makes so much sense. what it says for B-Hop is, somehow this Stevenson fight gets made...which it was supposed to anyway. As soon as that ref waived off Dawson...B-Hop was on the phone.

I really dont think the Murat fight comes off.

IMO....Stevenson needs to stay away from B-Hop.
