as much as i do think highly of mell on a more totality basis of his whole career, i have no interest right now in seeing him fight crawford..he simply doesn't deserve a shot at him...hes been out of the ring since 2023 and he laid a serious egg in his last fight against canelo..like nah bro you gotta do work again...he has a path to facing baraou for his belt being the mando at 154 if he wants another 154 run...but if he fought crawford now, crawford beats the dog shyt out of him

i hate when fighters get a crazy victory like that and they get punished for it..but murtazaliev stopped 2 guys in a row that had never been stopped before..they all know he's a problem..kelly should be accepting any gotdamn deal with how vulnerable he is
doc i give him nothing but props for the work he put in at 154..mell always gave me the impression that it didnt matter what side of the street he was in..you were going to get addressed if you had a belt..i respected that when teixeira had the wbo belt and they were talking some shyt to each other before castano went off his platform to take teixeira's belt..i put a lot of respect when a fighter cleans up his division..mell fought in 3 different 154 eras

Truth! To me, the obvious fight to make was him against Boots but I'm sure team Boots (and especially Hearn) wants no parts of him any time soon just like everyone else

The excuses I'm hearing recently has been the so called "terrible IBF 10 pound rehydration rule"
Lubin brought it up in a recent interview of why it was hard to make the fight with Bahkram
Vergil Ortiz's coach Robert Garcia also brought it up in a recent interview that the rehydration clause for the IBF was hard to agree to
Sounds like BS to me. One fighter I know that won't be a problem with is Boots. He had the IBF belt at 147, so he can use leverage to make the fight. And he said loud and clear that "I can make 147 easy" so a rehydration rule at 154 should not be a problem
business decision..if the champ can weigh in twice so can lubin..he fought that whole eliminator for nothing

The only fighter I'd give a little leeway to is Ortiz because of his battle with Rhabdomyolysis which could trigger a flare up because of the rehydration. Everyone else is definitely juelzing
