If Haney Undisputes by Summer 2026 I can see a Boots fight happening at 154 unless boots outgrows the division

They're going to avoid Boots for as long as possible. They know they can't win that fight.

Bill is crafty......the only misstep of Devin's career was underestimating that Ryan would cheat, come in overweight and use steroids. They thought they had an easy lick and it backfired. Should have canceled the fight when he came in overweight and replaced him. Also Devin had the wrong game plan.

The Boots fight may end up being a "chase greatness" move where nobody is mad if you lose and Devin started at 135 so is expected to be the under dog. I feel they are in position to monitor Boots path and prepare in parallel (this is assuming Boots becomes a star).

This is bullshyt.

It's documented that they already tried to fight Boots, he curved them with the 152 nonsense. Hearn doesn't want to risk Boots losing to Haney.

Also why are you acting like everyone knew Ryan was going to cheat and take PEDs? You know damn well what would have happened if they backed out at the 11th hour, they'd never live it down.

This is exactly why I wouldn’t want to be a promoter.

You invest your time in building these guys up, and when they finally reach their apex from a popularity standpoint, they want to leave and do their own thing or explore different options. You pretty much miss out their highest earning years. This is why there’s always some bitterness between a fighter and their ex-promoter.

Of course there are exceptions. AJ seems to have a good thing with Hearn.

On the flip side, if I’m a manager, of course I would want my fighters to move like Canelo or Haney, who fulfill their contracts and move on.
