Chris Mannix was on his podcast and suspected that Xander Zayas wants this Boots fight because he doesn't want to make 154 anymore because he's outgrown the weight and wants 1 last big fight to make him a star before he moves up

the belts have gotten so far out of hand now, and its only going to get worse. this is a case where the actual fighters need to disavow ALL belts and decide on one championship. lets say the Ring belt for instance. if there is a united front there is nothing the bodies can do about it. the name fighters have to agree to not fight for said titles. tbh, the multiple belts only exist to make fighters who otherwise would only be contenders in to champs. you can make money without the titles but the less talented are afraid to. Tank became the biggest name in boxing without really being a champ. The belt he had certainly didnt make him. Ryan made $30 mil in a fight where he didnt have a belt. On the flipside, Barrios became a millionaire all off of holding belts.
I'm starting to think that Turki doesn't care who he does business with and whoever comes out on top is ultimately who he will be riding with.

Considering you have four major players on the same network, I'm not sure how this is a bad thing.
didnt Turki say last year there would be no more PPV's in 2025 then reneged? EVERYTHING has gone up. when the average person cant afford to watch good/meaningful fights thats a problem. DAZN already having a lot of backlash about their sub structure. People paying for basic plan and subbing for whole year without reading the fine print. getting charged $20 per month and cant see shyt and locked in for a year. thats horrible breh. there is a place for PPV and there is a place for upcharge on subs but the whole thing stinks now trying to bait customers into some bogus sub. monopolization and paywall for everything may be good for the network and the fighters/promoters but for the overall health and marketability of the sport...no. how do we think Dana was even able to weasel his way in the sport. Promoters need to look in the damn mirror.

when he was doing the whole crying bit and saying he didnt want to fight but like another 2 years...he really lost what fans he had. didnt have the attitude that he wanted to be the best. he is talking a good game now but that dont mean shyt. he can still make some good money but he has to take this shyt serious or he will only have a couple more fights before he is cooked.
Boots team can fukk up negotiations if they want to, Devin wont. Boots and Vergil teams dont want to make fights...although Vergil is having issues with promoter. Xander is a good tough fight for either but tbh I think Xander style is more problematic for Boots than Vergil's.
