i'll never forget watching this with my dad. my dad used this fight as an example to tell me not to get too muscular :laff:..but the fact wlad came back from the fight to dominate the division for a decade speaks volumes...shoutouts to manny steward for fixing him..lamon was an entertaining champ

of course...i shouldn't be surprised when fighters like hurd get broken but just how fast they go downhill is still crazy to me..hurd goes from being a fringe top 10 p4per to being someone that jobbers beat on to get their wins up

Hurd was never that good to me. Sometimes you have fighters that can overwhelm very good fighters with sheer volume and they look tough to beat, especially if they are awkward. once they run in to the right one who has figured out the style, not only will they lose but then they will continuously lose because they have been figured out and they cant get away from the more technical boxers. also they have to maintain that extreme level of conditioning to be able to sustain the style. Paul Williams and Fundora are not quite as easy because of their awkward styles and lankiness. Shorter fighters not so much. Remember when Kassim Ouma fell off that cliff?

yeah dude took too many clean punches from a bigger jermain taylor...taylor was landing on him at nearly 50 percent...his was a quick decline too..which is sad because he was entertaining as hell
