Little late but I wanna give my impressions on this recent MayPerView card

First off :salute:my fam for having the card recorded and a buncha good ass food waiting for me to eat when I got back

Love v Periban wan an entertaining fight to start the card, fight could've been stopped but it was good that it wasn't. Love came off the canvas and clearly beat a really good pressure fighter, props to him but he'll get stopped facing better 168's
:laff: at the ref letting Periban hit Love 8x after the knockdown and then flinging him across the ring

Now onto my man Broner
GCDeBzj.png

Let his hands go but didn't set on his punches, kept getting hit until he went into his high guard
Molina looked good but gassed early and Broner took over until the last 2 rounds where he let Molina live and was more concerned with belittling him and telling him he wasn't in his class instead of showing Molina why this is so. He did little body work and kept trying box going back instead of coming forward against the smaller man.
Highly disappointed wit his performance on his 1st PPV but at least he didn't get knocked down twice vs a Mexican journeyman :sas2:

Khan v Collazo was a nice co-feature and Khan has shown fundamental improvements. Hunter has stopped him from fighting with his hands down and wasting energy by hopping around the ring. His clinch game is now existent and he did smart work with his back to the ropes, dropped Luis wit body shots and didn't gas himself or get reckless as the fight went on. Good win and I look forward to seeing him fight later this year.

May v Maidana was a damn good fight :obama:
Maidana proved the doubters wrong again and gave May a tough and highly entertaining fight
Early on Maidana forced Floyd to the ropes, kept throwing and made it dirty for Floyd.
Maidana controlled the pace the first half but Floyd held his own and I had it a draw after 6. Next six Floyd took over and I gave him 5 of those last 6.
Both worked the body but the only one really hurt in this fight was Maidana but Floyd didn't follow up on those punches that hurt Maidana.
My biggest takeaway from this fight is not that Floyd has aged but his perceived lack of activity, reluctance to throw combinations and his small stature as a welterweight are his biggest faults.

Card was a great way to start off a :blessed:month of boxing

Dan Rafael chat wrap 5/9:

- He had Mayweather winning 115-113 and had no problems with any of the judges scorecards.
- Maidana is definitely a front runner to get a rematch.
- Many people are questioning ODH's mental state right now.
- Now leaning towards under 1 million buys for Mayweather-Maidana, but no news on actual numbers.
- Broner is much more likable in one on one situations and thinks he is a nice guy.
- Pacquiao-Bradley PPV numbers: between 750-800k.
- GGG-JCC fight is completely dead for July....but negotiations could still take place to get it for Fall 2014.
- Weight advantage between Maidana-Mayweather was not apparent ringside.
- HBO still looking for a July fight for GGG.
- Provodnikov-Rios could happen later this year.
- Rigondeaux's next fight likely July 19 in Macau (HBO2).
- Very likely Maidana was financially compensated to change gloves to the ones Floyd preferred.
