They aren't even trying to have any negotiations with him. :camby:

That "no confidence in negotiations" sounds like ducking to me. :sas1:

I mean Chavez Jr. is having issues with his promoter as well, do they have confidence in negotiating there? :sas2:
Again, GGG is saying that he wants to become a ratings star and make more money. Fighting JCC or Froch would both give GGG bigger paydays and better ratings. He has always said he wants to stay at 160 at become the lineal champ - fight the best in that division...and that the 168 jump would be for a payday, high profile matchup.
I would never argue Ward isn't the best at 168...but Ward needs to realize he doesn't bring money or ratings to the table...even worse now that many in the industry believe he won't get a fight in 2014 vs anyone.

nikkas in 70 years will be talking about bhop. No one will remember Roids Jones Jr :sas1:

:stopitslime:

Go to youtube and type in "Roy Jones highlight" and then type "Bernard Hopkins highlight"

And click on filters > sort by > view count

And look how large the disparity is in video views between the two and get a healthy dose of reality please sir...

Roy has several highlight videos up that has Millions & Millions of views while B-Hop doesn't have one single highlight video that has a Million views

Roy will always be the more celebrated and revered fighter.

If people are still checking for Roy moreso than B-Hop TODAY in the present time when B-Hop has been a world champ and p4p rated in the same period where Roy has been knocked out into irrelevancy for the better part of a decade... what do you think it's going to be like when both are long retired decades from now?

That's cool so he's ducking Ward for easier fights/bigger pays, understandable. I just don't want to see #Shookboys out here sticking their chest out like GGG wants those problems.

I have a question for you now though as a fan of GGG do you want to see him fight the best?

Do you believe a win over Martinez/Chavez Jr/Froch does more for his career than a win over Ward?

Ali is more popular than SRR

That doesn't mean he is ranked higher as an ATG :umad:

Not even the point breh :beli:

I'm not conflating popularity with ATG standing...although Roy has B-Hop beat in both arenas :umad:

I was responding to the ridiculous assertion that B-Hop will ever be more remembered than Roy... when he's not even more "remembered" as a current world champ who's continually breaking all sorts of records while simultaneously Roy has been shot to pieces and completely irrelevant at the "world level" for an entire decade. And he's still more popular than B-Hop.

Wins over Martinez and Chavez Jr definitely does more for his career than a win over Ward just because Martinez and Jr are seen as bigger names in the sport.
A win over Ward trumps a Froch win though.

I don't see how a win over a 40 year old Martinez or lazy ass Chavez Jr is seen better as a win over the 2nd best fighter in the sport in his prime and a potential hof'er. :yeshrug:

You already know how I feel about Ward and I can't even co-sign that shyt. Having a Ward win on your resume is huge especially if you won clearly or dominated dude.

In turns of popularity it is. Sergio and Chavez are way more popular in the boxing community than Ward. To be honest longer ward sits out it will seem even better(not that it will be but inactivity will knock ward down off that pound for pound list. As it should.....).

Like I said are we talking business or boxing here?

And even from a business standpoint those guys are that much of a bigger draw than Ward, Chavez Jr last fight was in a half empty arena and the only time Martinez seen a ppv was along side Jr, so it's not like he is going to make Pacman/Floyd/Canelo or even Cotto money fighting these guys.

An Andre Ward fight would be a career high payday for GGG and a win does more for his legacy than a wins off Martinez/ChavezJr/Froch combined.

I am talking about from a marketing perspective. Wins over bigger names always trumps wins over the best fighter at a weight class especially when said fighter is only popular in his own home town and hasn't done anything at all to raise his perception among the general populace by being so inactive.
