Nacho is giving the :whoa: to JMM/Pac 5.

Find ya self a translator if you want it from the horses mouth: El Universal - Deportes - "No a otro combate Márquez- Pacquiao"

The gist of it is that Nacho thinks that JMM put the punctuation mark at the end of the JMM/Pac sentence with the KO and he shouldn't risk marring that achievement.

JMM is trying to fight on September 13th brehs:lupe:

Floyd's PPV better be STACKED:damn:

Imagine if TR puts together a Mexican Independance Day PPV Card of:

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs Arthur Abraham
Mikey Garcia vs Takashi Uchiyama

:wow:
Mikey got a lawsuit against Top Rank. Doubt we see him fight anytime soon

Alright, then how's Marquez gonna get a WW belt that he desperately wants? Yea Nacho said he'd look at other options, but realistically what other options are there? 2 of the belts are held by Mayweather. We all know JMM ain't fighting Floyd though. So the only other option realistically is Shawn Porter, And that could work, since Porter is not contractually obligated to fight on a certain network.

But seriously, does Marquez really have a shot against Porter :comeon: JMM would get killed if he took that fight :camby:

As much as they don't wanna fight Manny, he's their best option. It's an easier fight to make, it will make more money, and JMM has a much better shot at beating Manny than he does at beating Porter.

But it seems like Marquez and Nacho are more interested spiting Pacquiao than making history and further building JMM's legacy/moving further up the ATG list

I think we discrediting Fonfara's chin and boxing IQ. DUde been knocking ppl out left and right and we were expecting Adonis to just KO him and have a brilliant debut at Showtime. Fonfara boxed smartly and he was fierce. He got caught with body shots, haymakers, and left hooks relentlessly. Not all fighters would be standing after the 4th round. Adonis defense is suspect though cuz he couldn't slug it out without getting caught several times.

I wanna see Fonfara-Kovalev or Fonfara-B Hop before B Hop-Stevenson honestly.

Oh, also major props to Pascal for launching his own company. :salute: my haitian breda.
This was what I was thinking. Sure Stevenson's boxing skills and stamina left a lot to be desired, but he wrecked havoc on Fonfara for most of the fight. Fonfara took some absolutely brutal shots and deserves credit for his toughness.
Skill wise I dont think Fonfara presented a lot of danger for Stevenson...but if he would have been hurt more severely in those first two KD's, which most fighters would be, we are talking about an early KO and Stevenson differently.

I can't complain too much because I always have felt Stevenson was overrated when it came to overall skill...and now it is cool to swing the other way.
Power can cover a lot of mistakes and Stevenson has exceptional power. His boxing skills are not horrible, but definitely not elite.
I think saying Fonfara exposed Stevenson is a bit much because Stevenson still won 10 or 11 rounds in the fight.
What came from that fight is what most people had already suspected - if you can withstand Stevenson's power and effectively land punches, Stevenson is very beatable.

Bernard will be interesting because I think he presents the best way to neutralize Stevenson's power which is by boxing technique, not allowing Stevenson to land the punches he is accustomed to or take the punches in a way where the power is reduced. Fonfara was an exception in that he took the punches full force and kept coming...despite all Stevenson's flaws, on those type of fights power almost always wins out.

I don't want B-Hop in there at all. He might get killed. He doesn't have the power that Fonfara has. His skills can carry him so long. Superman is a different animal breh. Stevenson will probably KO B Hop and hurt him bad. The only chance B Hop has is make it though 6 rounds, which he can't do by only circling the ring. He will have to attack and take risks. I don't wanna see Hop hurt at all breh :to:

I was going to save this talking point for when the fight was a bit closer but what does Stevenson's inside game look like? :mjpls:

Bhop isn't fighting someone he feels he will take an L against breh, trust him and brother Naz are in the kitchen like:cook:

That Fonfara fight just added a little bit of hot sauce to the recipe. :youngsabo:

Of this generation (the last 25 years)?

I'd put him at #2 behind Floyd and in front of Manny if he beats Stevenson. And if he beats Kovalev as well, he passes Floyd for the #1 spot

you think Adonis gonna fight inside ? B Hop gonna try to force a short distance fight but that left hand will rock him and make him think twice. Heck, Dawson beat the living heck out of him

Force distance? Hopkins? What am I hearing here breh it's not like Stevenson has a good jab he has no reason to force the distance he can easily time him and get inside.

I think Hopkins is better on the outside and on the inside but the inside is what will win it for him(and make it an ugly fight.)

As far as Dawson there is a reason BHop was always :mjpls: over a Dawson fight.
