Although roach is a good trainer, I borderline hate the bytch. He's always throwing shade at Mayweather. I hope floyd rematches cotto and beats the shyt outta him

I can't front. Roach has his bytch nikka tendencies, but then so does Floyd. I wouldn't mind seeing a Cotto/Floyd double knockdown on some K9/Powell shyt. Maybe that would humble everybody. :manny:

Besides Roach throws shade at everybody, even other coaches. I give him his props though. He knows his offense.

Dan Rafael chat wrap 6/13:

- Cotto-Mayweather definitely will not happen this year. Cotto has said he is loyal to TR and has no intention of fighting in Sept. He wants a Dec. date.
- Does not believe Cotto-GGG is likely for this year. Arum said it would be a possibility, but Dan believes Cotto is not interested right now.
- If Canelo beats Lara, he believes we see Canelo-Cotto in Dec. or early 2015 on HBO PPV. Doubts Arum allows Cotto to be on Showtime.
- Bio on Algieri: pro kickboxing experience, good boxer, not much power, college degree/masters degree, and wants to go to medical school after boxing.
- If Cotto-Canelo doesn't happen, he is hearing Bradley's name.
- Announcement soon for Porter-Brook Aug 9 at Barclay's on Showtime.
- Agreed that Ward's shtick of talking about other fighters (in this case: What's the point of fighting Kovalev?) is getting old.
- Rumor that JMM asked for $20 million to fight Pacquiao is untrue.
- Arum has mentioned Cotto-JMM.
- TR prefers Donaire's next fight to be vs. Nicholas Walters.
- Sergio has one more fight on his HBO contract.
- Many contracts with the nextworks have a clause that if a fighter loses they can terminate the contract at their discretion.
- Heard that Martinez-Cotto PPV numbers could be a bit of a disappointment. Possibly less than 400K.
- GGG-Chavez still possible for Fall, but Froch-Chavez the most likely scenario.
- When asked something bad he did as a kid, Provodnikov responded: sniffing glue. Dan says Provodnikov is probably THE most honest fighter currently and very humble.
- Weights: Provodnikov - 139.8, Algieri - 140; Andrade - 153.8, Rose - 153.4
- Purses: Prov - $750k, Algieri - $100, Andrade - $200k, Rose - $100k
- Abregu being mentioned as a Pacquiao opponent. He believes it is mostly leverage to negotiate with JMM.
- Quillin-Jacobs not happening immediately. Jacobs will fight Fletcher.
- Ruslan vs. Pacquiao still not a fast track fight. Outside chances of it happening. (Roach trains both fighters)
- Pacquiao-Cotto rematch wouldn't be surprising, but highly unlikely.
- His personal top MSG atmosphere's (no order): Trinidand-Joppy, Trinidad-Mayorga, Cotto-Judah, Cotto-Margarito 2
- Constantly asks Wlad how many times he will defend his title as he is getting closer to all-time marks. Wlad never wants to discuss it.
- Garcia-Guerrero...hasn't heard rumors of that fight being made, but since they are both with Al, certainly possible.

I swear TR be trolling fans with some of their potential fights :snoop:

I would rather Donaire rematch dude and look good before he takes on Walters and possibly get that work.

I would rather see Cotto fight Kirkland if he can't get Canelo or Floyd in the ring this year. fukk I need to see him fight Bradley or JMM for :wtf:

Abregu doesn't have a big enough name for a Manny opponent.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Cotto/Sergio ppv #'s are disappointing. Most ppv's this year been wack an only worth regular tv. nikkas are smartening up. Even though the undercard turned out pretty good, it needed a lil more name recognition.

im trying to think what was the last boxing PPV card that had heat from top to bottom?

Manny/Bradley 2 wasn't heat from top to bottom, but I was entertained by each fight they showed. No fight was wack or Ishe/Molina status to me. The only thing is every fight went 12 rounds so shyt felt long winded as fukk. Made me feel like back in the day when I would put in a 6 hr vhs tape full of nonstop boxing and watch everything from Ali/Lyle to Rahman/Sanders

Finding a ppv that was crack from start to finish is hard. I thought Manny/Shane was solid, but the main event fukking sucked. Especially after Arce/Vasquez Jr got everybody hype.

Juarez/MAB 2 was a good card, but the main event sucked.

I swear there's always that one fight that just has to be horrible that fukks everything up.

Might have to go back to one of those Don King cards with everybody on it.

Must say I am excited to watch Prov fight this weekend. He is one of my "must watch" guys. I think we all know he is a B fighter and doesn't translate to be more than that, but his attributes make him one of the most exciting fighters to watch.
We have a guy who is tough as nails, always comes forward, has excellent power, and looks like he leaves everything he has in the ring. His makeup is just to be in great fights win or lose.
There are a lot of fighters at 140 and 147 more talented than him and most I would favor over Prov if they were matched up, but all fighters (except Mayweather) probably get in the ring and experience one of the most physically challenging fights they have been in.
Enjoy it while we have it, his style screams burning out after too many wars.

Seriously though: Garcia, Matthysse, Bradley 2, JMM, Pacquiao, Maidana, Guerrero, Broner, Peterson, Herrera 2. all those fights would be amazing. Prov definitely would not win them all, in fact I probably would have him an underdog in most, but you know Prov will make those fights must see TV. There is something to be said for a fighter who is just pure entertainment, rather than just focusing on skill.
