Man Algieri is really looking to run and cash out...he must not love boxing all that much :russ:...now if he was an old fighter who has put in work over the years then I wouldn't mind...but he's not..i thought he won that fight against Ruslan and put a very gutsy performance to do so..but a close win over Ruslan does not take you to a Pac fight and it sure as hell doesn't make me want to see Pac-Algieri..he better get his ass back in the ring, put in work, and act like a champion

Yup dude wants to be a doctor you gotta make sure you don't take too many head shots..its cool that he has a post career plan but damn he's a champion..im old school...so many good/great fighters have failed to win titles and gave almost everything to win one...dude just needs to know his role and defend his title

ruslan def has that rematch clause...so algieri is going to have go along with it or forfeit the belt

By Ryan Burton
This past Saturday night Ruslan Provodnikov lost his WBO junior welterweight title by split decision to Chris Algieri. The decision has been hotly debated in the aftermath and media members were split in informal polls after the fight in regards to who they believe should have been the victor.
Algieri was knocked down twice in the first round and had his eye swollen shut but adjusted well after the knockdowns to outbox Provodnikov in many of the rounds.
In many ways it came down to quality versus quantity. Provodnikov landed the more damaging blows while Aligieri landed the higher number of punches.
Provodnikov's team has a rematch clause available that they can exercise and in a recent conversation with Boxingscene.com, Provodnikov's manager Vadim Kornilov appears to be leaning in that direction. He also said that he wants the rematch in a more neutral location. The first fight took place in Brooklyn, a short distance from Aligieri's hometown of Long Island.
"We will think everything over and review. I think a rematch is necessary and we have to do it in a neutral territory.
"I'm not going to say let's do the fight in Russia. We always have to make sure that when Ruslan is fighting the opponent is given some advantage, but neutral territory should at least account for fair judging," Kornilov told BoxingScene.com.

I scored the fight 114-112 for Provodnikov.

I gave him rounds 1, 6, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

He won on my card, because he had 2 knockdowns in the 1st round on Algieri.

Danny Garcia didnt score any knock downs on Herrera.
Don't disagree. I scored it for Prov as well. It was a close fight and a scorecard for Algieri isn't ridiculous. Obviously round 1 was 10-7, I don't remember each individual round, but overall I felt like Prov landed the harder punches and was the aggressor, while Algieri's movement and pot shots were mostly to protect his eye.
Garcia-Herrera, I scored a Draw. I think that is the best Garcia deserved. I watched and was rooting for Garcia and felt like I was looking to give him rounds. After the fight I was like :merchant:, I think Garcia just lost.

I get why people question if you scoret one fight one way, why did you score another fight a different way. (great example, I scored Broner-Malignaggi, for Broner)
Each fight is unique and I go with what my eyes are telling me and who I feel is being more effective overall.
Boxing has to be one of the hardest sports to judge and I have to tell myself to step back and not judge the judges too much - being here and seeing Fight Score Collector is great at seeing how everyone, even Sportswriters who are all going to the same events have scores so wildly different.

You score fights by the total punch count as well at the end of the fight?:patrice:

It's no way POSSIBLE to do that and also score a fight on a round by round basis.

I score fights on a round to round basis using my eyes:manny:
