Schaeffer's contract with GBP doesn't expire till March 2018.
Contract and clauses are two separate things dikkie, a clause could make the contract irrelevant over time, diggin up info on it at the time, I could give 2 shyts about it

Even though a lot of nikkas picked Sergio to win I don't think the general public was completely sold on the new Cotto and most dudes already knew they'd end up getting a Sergio at 75% (We got the one that was at 20% instead) for this fight so at the end of the day you had two many variables for a ppv fight. You needed a real good Co main event to sell that whole ppv.

shyt I copped Toney/Holyfield just off the strength of Corrales/Cassamayor. In all honesty Martinez/Cotto needed a bout on that level to help it get sales.

Yeah the undercard fights turned out good (except the 3rd one) but fans just really lucked up.

350k ppv sells sound about right. :manny:

Dude's last fight was against Pascal I believe. He ended up getting stopped in the mid rounds.

Our vast knowledge of boxing is only surpassed by our knowledge of wrestling jobbers :wow:

Fyi, Dan has reported in the past about people in the know saying Gary Russ' chin is HIGHLY questionable...hence why I think he went with Loma by KO.

I am excited for that fight. Gary has tons of talent, but has never fought anyone. Is the chin rumor true? Can his hands hold up? If not what will he do (Floyd) to still win a fight against a live dog if his hands bust? Can he make a good opponent look silly with his hand speed?
Is Loma too green and need more fights? Will this burn his pro career out? Can he progress and be a top guy in the pros?

Lots of good storylines and no clear outcome or winner, just rooting for who you prefer.

See its deluded comments like these that make me feel justified in my Tim Bradley hatred.

Timothy Bradley’s busy schedule didn’t permit him to watch the Ruslan Provodnikov-Chris Algieri junior welterweight title fight Saturday night.

All the former welterweight and junior welterweight champion knows is based on what he has read on the Internet about the fight and that his mom (Provodnikov) and dad (Algieri) had differing opinions on who won the 12-round fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Bradley also knows that Algieri’s surprising split-decision win ruined any shot at making a Bradley-Provodnikov rematch either later this year or next year.

The 30-year-old Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs, 1 NC) survived severe trouble on multiple occasions against Russia’s Provodnikov (23-3, 16 KOs) during their first fight, an instant classic that won numerous “Fight of the Year” awards for 2013, to win a unanimous decision 16 months ago in Carson, Calif. Fans would welcome a rematch, but Bradley thinks the timing is wrong.

He lost to a guy no one really knew,” Bradley said of Provodnikov. “The remedy is just to out-box him. The first time I chose to slug. The second time around, it’d be even easier because I won’t stand there and fight with this guy. I’d fight my fight. But like I said before, I was waiting for this guy to build his stock, come up and earn the rematch, man. He won a championship [from Mike Alvarado], but he just lost his title. So it’s like, where do we go from here? I’ve got a loss. I’ve just suffered my first loss. This is his third loss, but at the same time I lost to one of the best fighters of this generation. So there’s a different level there.”

Bradley referred to his 12-round, unanimous-decision defeat to Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) in their rematch April 12 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

This fight is the main event to me :manny:

I give zero fukks about Guerrero vs Yoshi Tatsu.
