Why doesn't he fight guys in his division?

He's a lame, but he doesn't know he's a lame; so he thinks because he's the "best" in a shytty divsion everyone above and below has to come to him. He also never fights out of oakland. No one cares though cause they can all make a shytload of money without fighting him so they tread him like an annoying child and ignore him :mjlol:

ward says ggg and chavez jr is ducking him at 1:30

Maybe it is my #GGGoodBoys bias, but GGG hasn't been ducking Ward. GGG has fought all his fights at 160 so far and continues to state that he wants to be considered the best fighter at 160. He still has plenty of work to do to attain that.
The one argument is that he has looked at 168, for JCC and Froch...but he said as well all the writers - that is because JCC gets him on PPV and the most money he has ever made, and Froch in the UK brings an audience that nothing in the US can match.

A lot of the issue goes to things SOG won't bring up - sure SOG will fight anyone at 168, we know this, and he is the best - deservedly so. Every time he can't get a fight he says they are ducking him. But what about your promotional troubles Andre? No one is confident you can even sign a fight. What about the purse? We all want each fight to always be the best vs the best, but know that doesn't happen - and Andre offers no more money, in fact usually less than these guys can get anywhere else. And where we fighting? Want Froch, JCC, or GGG to fight in SD, where you are essentially reducing the financials for the fight and exposure? Try NY or LV.

SOG is undefeated in the ring, but starting to take some L's outside.

Greetings to fellow boxing fans

I'm just getting back from a long trip (a short trip from everyone else's perspective). I just got out of my delorean & believe it or not, I got a chance to travel to the year 2018. There, I got a chance to see what my family has been doing & how my life has turned out. Got online & immediately went to boxrec for selfish reasons, as I plan to gamble with this knowledge. I got a chance to see an article on the 168 lb kingpin Andre Ward.

I wanted to give you guys an update. As it turns out, his last fight took place on 11/16/13 against a guy named Edwin Rodriguez. Ward won this fight in a clear decision. He's still holding out for a big time PPV fight to take place in Oakland at his weight class of 168. Newer names have emerged at 160 & he is patiently waiting for these guys to move up in weight. He has no interest in going into 175, because he feels this will do nothing for his career. He's still with his powerhouse team consisting of manager J Prince & his promoter Dan Goosen.

As it turns out, guys like GGG & Froch, guys that never really had a style that would give a fighter any type of longevity, have moved on from the sport. Ward has continued waiting for a new opponent for these last few years.

Just wanted to give team SOG that status of the great Andre Ward in year 2018. He appreciates your dedication during the ups & downs of his career. I just wanted to set the proper expectations & to prepare you guys for years of inactivity.

So assuming Floyd will have retired by then... Ward must be #1 p4p, yes? :sas1:
