So one uppercut amongst 200 bodyshots is variety? :stopitslime:

Canelo threw all types of punches but the only punch he was landing cleanly was a left hook to the body...

You can't penalize Lara for only landing jabs and lefts yet look the other way on Canelo's work which was follow, follow, swing and miss, follow, left hook body...

Neither guy won this fight convincingly...
Good bit of those jabs were not landing.

And skip gtfoh with that it was on the hip shyt.

That means he got better breh his body work improved and while he was still chasing Lara for the most part he did cut the ring off at times. That was absent in the Floyd fight.

In that Lara vs. Canelo thread my first post was that Lara was overrated af. I do think Canelo is a bit overrated as well but he is only 23 and getting better.

If you think Canelo improved, then that's your opinion. I'd have to respectfully disagree.

Yeah because that left uppercut he threw didn't land.

Dude was throwing punches to keep canelo off of him. He didn't throw nothing of substance.

Not even a huge canelo fan but dude threw every punch in that fight. Right hands, hooks, hooks to the body and uppercuts.

I wish nikkas would stop overrating these Cuban fighters. nikkas are just that. Ams..

I was more impressed by Gamboa in the 1st 4 rounds of the Crawford fight than I was with Lara in 12 rounds of his fight with Canelo.

With all of Yuri's flaws at least he acted like he wanted to win and won his rounds clean as fukk.

:mjlol: at Lara circling the ring wide as fukk while throwing the same one two 6 times during a 3 minute round is boxing the shyt outta someone.

If ever there was a fight that needed to end in a Double KO it was that one. Both them nikkas fought like shyt. It's just that Canelo brought more effort and effort is usually enough to win if your opponent is doing a lot less than you.

Canelo ain't improve shyt and he's trash. His defense was lol. His jab was nonexistent. He's just another stupid Mexican ape who thinks boxing is just standing and punching each other till a KO .

ok rewatched it with a hd piratebay torrent. Ive got it 114-114 but i can definitely understand if you think either guy won. 117-111 canelo is bullshyt though

This fight is very close man, Lara let it slip in the middle rounds where he went on his bike and forgot to box with it, like paulie said the catch and shoot would of won this for him but he didnt stick with it.

Canelos adjustment to going hard to the body saved him imo because he couldnt land any punches up top at all, definitely affected Lara.

I gave lara first 3 rounds then Canelo's bodywork took over, round 6 is close but i think Lara boxed better before Canelo sweeped 7, 8 and 9.

Lara then finally got back to boxing and took 10 clearly, 11 and 12 imo are very close rounds and you can pick what you like. i gave lara 11 and canelo 12

Rematch isnt needed instantly but i do hope they meet again eventually if Canelo doesnt go up to 160.

And i think i will be picking Cotto if he fights Canelo because Canelo didnt really impress me at all other than his great bodywork

you think he beats Trout easier if they were to fight again, doesn't look like you are disagreeing to me :manny:

I'm not saying he is a new fighter but he is clearly better.

:snoop:
I think he beats Trout more decisive because he knows what to expect from him, not because he's made big improvements as a fighter.

I thought Trout edged it out the first time, but it's not like Canelo got some epic gift. Some minor adjustments and he wins more dominant. That is all I'm saying.

If you think Canelo has improved, that's great. I don't agree, for I've literally seen the same fukking fighter since his loss to Floyd.

Agree to disagree.

If he would have fought Lara before the Floyd fight he would have had a lot tougher of a night than he did yesterday.

Saying Canelo improved is like saying Floyd needs to improve in order to defeat Maidana more decisively when in actuality Floyd just needs to use a better game plan.

I mean with all this Canelo improved logic... I guess MAB needed to improve as well in order to out box Rocky Juarez in the rematch instead of going life and death with him again like he did the first time when he tossed his skills in the bushes. :mjlol:

I agree Canelo didnt impress me at all last night

His great bodywork saved this fight for him because he couldn't land up top at all, his handspeed imo looked slower than ever aswell

Lara could of won this fight convincingly if he didnt back up for whole rounds with small output

ofc they are going to score it to the aggressor if the round is close thats why i understand canelo getting the decision. 117-111 is a bit wide though
