in terms of its programming super 6 was outstanding...fight camp 360: inside the super 6 are some of the best behind the scene episodes that ive had the pleasure to watch regarding boxing...i also think it was good because it spotlighted a talent laden division that needed attention and gave them much deserved exposure. my issues with the super 6 was that half the fighters dropping out diluted the quality of the fights and the tournament some. i would love to see it come back for another division with a tweak here and there
I think it was the "reality show" aspect of it that attracted them. That fight camp stuff they did was VERY good. I even caught some of the women at my old job discussing that stuff, I walked by and overheard them likeI think it was the "reality show" aspect of it that attracted them.
about him paying random nikkas in the street to rap for him...froch was gold esp with this shyttalking about calzaghe and so was andre dirrell..."ima eat the ham...ima eat the abraham"
...although without context to what was going on in that scene it would have been a very suspect statement haha..showed all of them as regular ass cats with personalities..matter of fact I may rewatch these shyts during my vacation at the last week of the monthin terms of its programming super 6 was outstanding...fight camp 360: inside the super 6 are some of the best behind the scene episodes that ive had the pleasure to watch regarding boxing...i also think it was good because it spotlighted a talent laden division that needed attention and gave them much deserved exposure. my issues with the super 6 was that half the fighters dropping out diluted the quality of the fights and the tournament some. i would love to see it come back for another division with a tweak here and there
I actually expected fighters to drop out. I think Showtime should have the set the proper expectations to fans that this could happen & made a theme around the tournament being "survival of the fittest."
The fact that Ward got through a tournament where half the fighters couldn't hang makes him winning the tournament even more impressive imo. Here you have a guy that took it one fight at a time & grinded it out.
Another thing is that the fights that happened where others dropped out where actually entertaining.
Ward-Green
Johnson-Green
Ward-Bika (this was actually a non tournament fight & shouldn't be here, but was a very entertaining rugged fight)
Bute being really hot at the time caused the tournament to get a lot of hate.
damn brehs.. I'm checking the upcoming schedule and Showtime is MURDERING hbo
sho: 8/9, 8/16, 9/6, 9/13 (mayweather)
hbo: 11/22, pac/algieri![]()
HBO also has Crawford vs Beltran and Hopkins vs Kovalev coming up too and that August 9th and September 6th Showtime cards are both garbage.
