Which means that AB is the bigger draw, since ratings dont lie, and an Adrien Broner vs Danny Garcia matchup probably wont happen unless Danny Garcia agrees to take less money than AB. That's why AB said: "If it makes financial sense"....no way does AB takes less money than Garcia if they meet up, when AB is the A-Side of their matchup.

Those two HBO fights against DeMarco and Rees have to be looked at with different metrics though because HBO has more subs than Showtime.
Even with the entire boxing universe hating and threatening a boycott Swift was able to get above the norm ratings.
And just for comparison, Swift was also able to almost break a million viewers and crush the competition with his fight against Zab Judah while going head to head with a live HBO card.

When you consider who they are making it against and put it in context, yes, it's a big difference.

You got 1.5 vs "The Boogeyman" Lucas Matthysse as the much hyped Co-Main Event of a PPV....we got 1.25 against the bum version of Carlos Molina in the opening fight of a PPV

You got 1.25 vs Judah as the Main Event on regular TV....we got 1.5 million for Paulie Malignaggi as the Main Event on regular TV


It may not be MUCH bigger, but bottomline is that because AB gets paid more (as little of a difference it may be to you), I think that would be a hold up in negotiations when all you keep hearing out of his mouth is "this is a business"/"if it makes financial sense" in reference to a fight with Garcia.

I can see that being a road block in the way of the fight unless Garcia agrees to the smaller portion of the pie or at LEAST a 50/50 split and I dont think he will being that he's the undefeated WBA/WBC/RING 140 Champion.
