no we wont
not unless golden boy top rank hbo and showtime end the beef and stop the bullshyt
floyd losing will be good for instagram and twitter nerds who will talk shyt and put up pictures for a day or so
but for the climate of boxing, it would be horrible

even though pacquaios lost to marquez was:mjlol:

a lot of fans hopped off his bandwagon after that and that aint good for the sport
I think a Floyd loss would make a Manny fight more likely. It would remove the 0 which Floyd (and his Stans) wave around like a baton beating other fighters over the head whenever a name is mentioned as a future opponent.
And just losing won't stop the casuals from hating Floyd. If he takes a loss then his first fight back would be a huge PPV event just to see if he is shot or if the loss was a fluke. And a lot of the hate for Floyd is his attitude which I doubt he'd change. His persona is one of a cocky, ghetto ass black dude with an immense amount of money and even more ego...that is something CACs will always hate with a passion.

Also unless Espinoza changes his attitude or gets fired, I don't see Showtime ending the beef.
However Oscar seems perfectly fine with working with HBO and if GBP's contract is not totally exclusive to Showtime then I see him promoting more shows with HBO moving forward.

breh thats a solid fight imo. rubio past prime but that motherfukka can still crack! i expect golovkin to get the win but i want to see if he cans stop rubio though.
Be interesting to see if he can shrug off a Rubio punch and land a KO blow at the same time like he did to Geale.

AB saying if he ever fights Swift it have to be 8 figures for both on PPV

They are both on the verge of being elite superstars N the fight doesn't make sense anytime soon

I told you breh.

Even though to me, the fight makes perfect sense right now (being they're in the same division), AB's about money. He keeps saying it over and over again, it has to make financial sense, and I cant see the fight coming off without what he's saying happening (PPV, 10 mill at least a piece), plus him trying to strong arm his way to the biggest piece of the pie.

What does he do if Garcia never leaves 140 then....if he doesnt plan on fighting him unless those were the standards (which I cant see happening any time soon), how does he expect to win a belt at 140?:what:

Wait and pray someone knocks Garcia off?:snoop:

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!:pacspit:

Dan Rafael chat wrap 8/15:

- Mayweather undercard is very poor. Clearly trying to save money.
- Gives Taylor a good chance to beat Soliman. Fight will be in the US.
- In regards to his and Wilder's twitter battle: Wilder's skin is as thin as many think his chin is soft.
- Mikey Garcia not even close to working things out with TR - according to his manager and brother.
- Linares (if he wins) becomes the mandatory for Figueroa-Estrada winner.
- He is picking: Porter, Figueroa, and Dirrell (thought he won the first fight).
- GGG-Rubio fight is not finalized yet. If Vera wins in BKB, he is a rumored opponent as well.
- Rubio says he is getting the GGG fight. GGG's promoter says they have not sent any paperwork to Rubio's team yet. What Dan believes has happened is that Rubio made an agreement with his promoter, if he was offered the GGG fight.
- Froch is still trying to make the JCC fight in January.
- Picks Loma to beat Donaire.
- Picking Lesnar to win Summer Slam.
- GGG next fight will be in the "LA area" on October 18th.
- His FOTY is now Rodriguez-Takayama.
- Canelo-Lara PPV numbers: 300k.
- Picks Lennox easily over Chris Byrd.
- Prefers Rubio to fight GGG than Vera.
- Prime RJJ vs SRR at 160...he says it is competitive (didn't pick a winner).
- GGG's next fight will be announced most likely early next week.
- GGG haters were out questioning who he fights, Dan's response: Last I checked GGG had an Olympic Silver medal, 11 title defenses and has faced everyone he could possibly fight*, be it for short money, on undercards, whatever.
*Earlier in the chat stated that GGG has made every fight vs a quality opponent he could have made. If a fight hasn't been made, it is because something (networks, the other fighter, etc) has stood in the way.
- Andrade and Lara are challenging each other on Twitter. No chance of the fight being made.
- Lundy posted on Twitter he was offered a fight vs Prov. Dan hadn't heard if there was any truth to that.
- No word on Bradley's next fight, although he is still in discussions as Cotto's next opponent.

Cotto/Bradley get that shyt the fukk outta here. :camby:

Lundy/Provo- Good fight, but I don't trust Hank's chin or focus enough for me to pick him to win.

I don't ever recall LL beating anybody who's defense is a good as Bryd's so I can't say how easy that fight would be although Lewis would be favored. Bryd knows how to fight big nikkas except for Wlad

Didn't expect Canelo/Lara ppv numbers to be that good anyways so 300k sounds about right.

Mikey Garcia fukking his career up. :snoop:

:mjlol: Broner really thinks him vs. Garcia is worth $10+ million for both fighters. :what:
Canelo was rumored to get $5 million in purse and $12 million in total after PPV upside vs. Mayweather...and that sold 2.4 million buys.
Canelo made nowhere near 8 figures vs. Angulo or Lara (the B side not as popular, but Canelo is more popular). Cotto vs Sergio, Cotto was guaranteed $7 million. And JCC is more popular than both AB and Garcia and TR is doing everything they can to keep JCC below $10 million - and he would be fighting GGG and Froch, legit solid PPV fights.

Broner and Garcia would both deserve pay bumps for fighting each other, but $10 million each doesn't even seem remotely possible. Seeming like a way to stay away from that fight to me. He was happy earning $1.5 milly for Maidana, but Garcia is $10 milly. :heh:

Broner/Garcia makes a lot more sense to happen now or in the near future than the Porter/Thurman match-up that seems to be gaining steam among a lot of boxing media.
At least Broner and Garcia have "arrived" as legit stars in the sport. Most people still don't know who Thurman and Porter are yet.
