My girlfriend and I been playing the hell out of CoD:Ghosts as of late. This game got a lot of unnecessary bad reviews by crybabies, complainers, fanboys, and troll. It's another solid CoD entry and it's a great game itself. The story is intriguing with some great set pieces and with a story definitely worthy of a sequel. It was refreshing that they toned down the Micheal Bayish constant booms and explosions over the top experience. The pacing starts off slow but becomes the entertaining roller coaster ride CoD is known for. Graphics are excellent and the best in the series. Voice acting top notch.
Multiplayer levels are the largest yet in the series. If your playing with a few players, it's a major problem because you'll find yourself constantly hiking around the map but I play on system link along with bots for a total of 12 combatants which is perfect for the maps. I find the maps well made and varied. Camping is not a problem like past CoD entries because you can always flank a opponent from the multiple paths on the maps. Hit detection is excellent. I found the developers made it a little more realistic this time around where bullets cause you die quicker. Knifing is more realistic as well. Customization is the richest yet. Plenty of game modes to choose from for endless hours of fun. I like the added addition of field orders for the extra challenge and reward system, would love seeing this in future entries.
I haven't messed with the aliens part yet because I'm not a fan of it, I'm a zombies guy.
My dings against this game is
No campaign co op
Split screen multiplayer cut down from 4 players to 2 players
Players per a system link cut down from 2 players to 1 player
No system link lobby
WAR mode cut for 360 and PS3 verisons
Kill streaks more on the boring side compared to past versions
8.5/10
