Damn property taxes, insurance and overall cost of living been going up for the past seven years..fukking '98 - '05 Atlanta all over again. I just got back from a week long business/personal trip to Asheville. I'm probably moving my ass there by the end of this year.

I hear you but I love this city. Charlotte IMO is the best place to live in NC.

And I always said if something ever comes up where I can’t live here no more, then I’m moving to California..... somewhere in the Bay

I just moved here so I'm part of the problem . But you right, this growth is crazy. We're hiring a new person in My department at least once a month. BB&T & Suntrust (Truist) coming, Honeywell, Lowes just announced plans for a 23 Floor Tower in SouthEnd. I wanna snatch up some property before it gets too crazy, have to give up a few things like my SC Residence lol. & a reasonable commute to work that's along the Light Rail.

This is so true. Man I remember being able to move around a little more freely when I moved here in 2015 but now man.. I feel like I’m going to die I’m a car accident at some point cause THESE PEOPLE CANT DRIVE! I welcome growth because Lord knows my hometown wasn’t doing shyt at all which is why I left, but man this place is going to be unbearable in about 5 years. I’m good as long as they don’t mess Concord up lol.

I love Charlotte too. I think it’s the best city in N.C. way better than Raleigh and Durham. If I ever had to move it would be Nashville or San Diego.

Yeah I was thinking about Nashville myself. I want to consider a city outside of the SE but they don’t have enough black ppl for me(or too expensive)

I lived in Nashville for a few years. I loved it. There wasn’t as many blacks as Charlotte but it was a great city. And they had black colleges. My dad went to Fisk. I love Nashville.

I gotcha. I gotta see what’s good with Nashville for myself. Location wise I like it bc it’s close to alotnof other cities. I’ve just lived in Charlotte & Greenville SC. I wanna say NC has the most black colleges out of any state
