I can stream music and videos directly from my desktop PC (which is where all my music is anyway) upstairs to my tv using TVersity. I'm not hating on this stuff, just trying to understand the use before i cop another unneeded electronic accessory

It's cheap, can be hacked easily, has the support of Google, and can stream directly from most of Google's services. Google Music All Access + your personal library >>> just your personal library breh

I aint gonna lie I bought it for the factor. TBH it doesn't serve much of a purpose in my main entertainment room. In another room though (bedroom, guest room, etc) its nice to have access to my entire music library and netflix without moving around my computer. The Youtube quality is ridiculous too. Comes in handy in a room that might be under served from a technology perspective. shyt will hit defcon level 5 for me when you can put your own movies in the google ecosystem.

My hunch is that Google is going to throw a bunch of energy behind it as well.
