I talked to Jesus H. Christ and I'm helping make this pop now. I'm revamping the format. The judges will remain the same. I'm bringing out everyone lurking in this and bringing everyone back who fell asleep on this project. This is no longer a tunnel exclusive and I'm taking it to the booth at this point.
1. Head to Head Competition- we're doing this. artist vs artist, producer vs producer. two songs will go head to head and the booth will vote on which one will make the tape. depending on the feedback, there will be a few. producers will go heads up for which beat is better. rappers will do song against song, and in some cases go over the same beat and people will vote which rapper did a better job. this gets rappers/producers time to show off their work in a 5 mins span versus going through a whole mixtape to get exposure
-you can volunteer for this if you got balls or I'll randomly pick people involved.
2. Pre/Post EPs- if we get a lot of interest in this from the booth, we'll be dropping a pre EP definintely, maybe a post EP. this will get a few more artists exposure since we dont want the mixtape to be a ridiculous amount of songs.
3. Producers- I need some suggestions on how to get your beats out there. I was gonna start a hulkshare specifically for coli. or another site that we could password protect? but i'd personally make it my mission to link rappers with producers. it is too much of a struggle right now for everybody to work together.
4. coli cash- i got a few ideas for betting throughout the mixtape process. this section will be a complete surprise so be sure to check out the stickies.
5. taking over for a month- 30 days is plenty of time to record. if you can't record a song in that time then dont bother hitting me up for beats, you're wasting my time. i have a schedule planned out and there will be an epic buzz of 30 days until the mixtape drops. i want a lot of buzz and promotion behind it.
6. donations- if people would like to donate to the mixtape to perhaps sponsor it on datpiff or get it featured
we could certainly set something up for that. if we get at least 20 people on this (producers/rappers) thats 50 bucks a head to get it featured.
i already contacted datpiff and its a G to get featured these days
