Yeah, I was really impressed with how they were able to reset everything and get the group back together.

I watched like 4 eps from season 4 which were all terrible. Thankfully it doesn't look like it matters for this season.
Def did not miss pierce what so ever. After a while I felt they were forcing his story line a bit
The big test of this season is when Troy bounces. He's one of my favorite characters and I'm not sure how the show could survive without him and abed's chemistry

man Pierce was my favorite on the show. im still mad he aint on there...i'd love to get another scene with his dad and the elephant tusk hairline
Troy is useless anyway..look at the Nick Cage episode...Abed was still Abed while Troy was seated with the rest of the class...i just wonder how they write him out

I think one way they might go is to have Troy decide to find himself on his own away from Abed. When Jeff was talking about each of the members being worse off from when they started, and mentioned how Troy was basically the sidekick of Abed.

The Troy and abed pairing did more harm than good for the Troy character overall. Losing the arrogant jock aspect of himself left him as simply Abed's dumb sidekick. I would've like to see him interact more with the other characters than just relying on the crutch on Troy and Abed most of the time. They dropped the ball on his story with Britta in season 4. The relationship had been teased since season 1 then they just ignored it and dropped it. I feel he was the most underused character in a way.

tbh i wont really miss troy. hes become too dependent on abed and doesnt really bring anything to the show

Good episodes. I completely forgot about Pierce until they mentioned it. I hate that Donald Glover is leaving, but I'm starting to think it wont really make that much of a difference. Troy's role is pretty minor outside of the Abed relationship like others have said. His character has been very under utilized.

I thought they did a really good in the homage to serial killer flicks like Seven and Zodiac. The dark mood, it constantly raining, multiple suspects, and a bunch of stuff I'm sure I didn't notice.
Funniest moment to me were Troy reacting to the ass-crack bandit with Abed getting with a blanket and something to drink because that's what they do in the movies.
