No trips planned, except the always-delayed trip back to CAR...I have a friend who's going to Benin later this year, was kinda considering semi tagging along and visiting another friend I have there

Did you have to do the Yellow Fever Shots? How long do they last, and did how much did it cost? Disregard if you are not from the States and actually living in France.

I'm not from the US and living in France, but for some countries you have to get them regardless, for CAR I need one for example. I did a couple years back when I went to Senegal (wasn't compulsory there tho), I think it lasts 10 years. Don't remember how much it cost tho, not that much.

Good bye Coli(2014-2020)
Still wanna go to Morocco and Tanzania.
I'm based in Addis Ababa right now for a project but am headed to Zanzibar next week for some R&R, then after coming back from DC for my boy's wedding, I'm planning to hit Mombasa for my bday.

Lucky b*stard.

Anyways I loved Addis and I also hated it. Weird.

Yeah, it's a gift and a curse. On one hand, everybody here is African. There isn't the idolization of europeans you see in other African countries. On the other hand, the lack of colonialism has the country way behind as far as development. However, you get used to living with less. Power may go out from time to time, the network is on and off, but man, there is something so calming and serene about being amongst your own. Hard to describe.

Morocco is gorgeous. I spent some time in Marrakesh last year for the United Nations Climate Change Conference

What industry you in?
I'm an attorney by trade but currently doing strategy consulting in emerging markets. Basically helping outside investors jump into African companies. For the investors, I have to create proper business entities to invest and get their dividends out, and for the company, I work with a team that helps improve the inefficiencies within the company.

My goal is to one day start or be part of a fund ran by African Americans investing in Africa and gettting people to come back and transfer skills/knowledge to the people here.

You do this on your own or for a company? Def will want to make some things shake with you in the near future.

What's stopping you? In my case it's not difficult at all to head to the islands but I find that if you really want to go somewhere you can make it happened

Return home breh :salute:

How did you get from practicing law to consulting in Ethiopia:lupe:

I'm heading to law school so what you're talking about is very intriguing to me:lupe:
