Black people are not the minority in this country, let's start there first.

Black people that are in prisons are not counted for in many of these sundown towns.

I am not getting that 13% from the gov't.

There’s over 42 million Black people in the US.

There’s over 330 million people in the US.

There’s around 2.4 million people in the IS prison system, people not “Black” people.

I’m unsure where you’re getting your numbers from be we are the minority.

He is an article about Asian "spending power". Already close to the alleged "spending power" that Black people have with a smaller population. Spending power is not a measurement of wealth.

The Overlooked Consumer Group With Billions to Spend

RICHMOND, Va.—American companies are obsessed with Latino millennials. The young, bilingual consumers are the target of billions of dollars in corporate spending, whether it’s through Toyota’s Vayamos Juntos ad campaign or McDonald’s college scholarships for Hispanic students. It’s a smart focus, considering the U.S. Latino market is worth $1.3 trillion and millennials have an estimated $200 billion buying power.

Yet this fixation may lead some to overlook today’s fastest-growing ethnic consumer group: Asian Americans. In 2015, they had an estimated buying power of $825 billion, which is expected to grow to $1.1 trillion in 2020, according to the Selig Center for Economic Growth at the University of Georgia. In the past 15 years, the Asian American consumer market grew by 199 percent, outpacing gains in the disposable income of Latinos, whites, blacks, and Native Americans. The U.S. Latino population might be three times larger than the Asian American community, but the Asian American population is now growing at a faster rate overall....

Indians are the most affluent Asian American consumers, with an estimated $212 billion to spend. Although California and New York have the largest Asian American consumer markets, Virginia now is now among the top ten. In the Richmond area, Henrico County, the most affluent suburb, is home to 10,000 Indian Americans (about 3 percent of the county’s population). The area’s local Regal movie theater screens the latest Bollywood films, and a 20,000-square-foot Hindu temple attracts hundreds of worshippers every week.......

Many Indians in Richmond, like Rakesh, are in the United States on H-1B visas, a temporary work permit that brings hundreds of thousands of high-skilled workers to the United States every year. The minimum salary employers can pay an H-1B software developer in the Richmond area, for example, is $72,000. A large number are doctors, so it’s a community with a good deal of disposable income.

The investment in education seems to be a unifying theme across Asian American consumer groups. My Lan Tran, who is president of the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce, says Asian American parents will do whatever it takes to pay for their children’s college tuition, rather than take out loans. “That’s why you see people in their 70s still working at their grocery store, because their kids are going to Virginia Tech or med school.” The focus on education is likely one of the biggest drivers of Asian American wealth. In 2015, about 54 percent of Asians had a college degree, compared to about 33 percent of the overall population. Their average household income is $74,105, compared to $53,657 across the country.

2007-2009:
Corey Holcomb appears on the funniest black radio show of all time, Speedy's Comedy Corner with Lewis Dixx, Tanjareen, TDP, Clayton Thomas, Claudia Jordan, Jonnhy Mack and many show regulars. Outshining everyone and establishing a massive demand from fans for him to be given his own show.

2010: Corey is given a one hour slot, calls his his show "The 5150" at Conga Room in downtown LA, accross from the Staples Center.
He has Zo Williams pop up, Bobby Glanton Smith in the crowd, after searching for a cohost, settles for some lame Mexican single mom in her late 30s called Darlene.

At this point the show was great but was way too short, especially with the ads.
So they gave him an extra hour.
So now he was doing the 2 hour format, 1st hour had a social topic, and the 2nd hour had his more controversial topics.

This format was great and had callers like the legendary Low Lyfe and many country folks who were truck drivers.
He also had a lot of great guests sit in on the show (Zo, Bobby, Claudia, TDP etc) who he had great comedic chemistry with.

Around and 2011/12 the writting was on the wall at Foxxhole, so Corey started doing the 5150 Bootleg show on RMC at the same time he was still on Foxxhole, the RMC was the peak of all fukkery and the funniest the show has ever been.

Darlene disappeared once the Foxxhole cheque disappeared (Definition of down :comeon:) but her absence was the best thing that ever happened to the show and established the star trio of Corey, Bobby and Zo... With live callers and Poetess steering the ship well as producer.

Then he fell out with Poetess, left RMC and was doing shows in Tommy Sotomayor's kitchen :picard::scust:
This was beginning of the janky production, terrible mics, shytty camera, no format, no callers etc...
The show eventually made it to the storage unit, where the stagnation began, however Corey was still funny enough to make the 2 hours hysterical and entertaining, and had great chemistry with Bobby and Zo still (Darlene had returned by now).

..... Then they added Freeze Luv and his impersonations and new energy gave the show a new life.

Someone else can take it forward from here and bring up the fukkery with the various shytty producers of the show like Hotmouth Chris, Genevive etc and the various falling out with many of the cohosts etc.

It's been a 12 year meltdown brehs :wow::francis:

Y’all gotta define minority

Like are you using it as “other” or less numbers than everyone else or just cacs?

There’s approx 18,000,000 Asians, are we still the minority?

I think this was the moment Ryan realized it was time for him to move on from 5150:francis:.

Why does Corey always “know a nikka” but, no one ever knows him enough to get a big role :comeon:.

He always bigging up Kevin Hart and Tiffany Hadish, but they've done nothing for his career.
