Talented people get blackballed everyday in this industry. raw talent isn't enough, corey should be much bigger than He's been, it's his self destructive nature that has kept him from rubbing shoulders with the likes of artquake,Ali siddiq et al
He packs comedy clubs/tours which equals=$$$

I know from a time back in 2014 he was charging around 20-30K per show as my club promoter homies told me so he's probably doing quarter to half a mil off standup possibly annually.

Now that makes more sense. Being in high demand will make anyone uncancellable

I'm genuinely curious how corey continues to find work considering He's burned many bridges in an industry that's reliant on connections and relationships

I'm not even sure there are any notable comedians left that genuinely fukk with dude.

comedians have been blackballed for far less

He got a podcast that averages 100k views each episode....he can tour the country and do well. He got a loyal fanbase that support him.

When it come to Hollywood though he is cooked......Just because you talented dont mean you will make it Hollywood. Hollywood is all about networking and his networking skills are garbage....He hollywood blackballed for sure.

I feel like Patrice would’ve followed the same trajectory as Corey. Very similar in their burning bridge attitudes.

Despite him having Bill Burr, Kevin Hart and Chris Rock in his corner, you felt he would’ve eventually isolated himself. He would’ve been Julius in Everybody Hate’s Chris if he didn’t F-that up.

But yeah, Corey is constantly falling out with people. On the last show, he complained about being “left behind”. Well, that’s what happens when you don’t play the game and accuse every successful black man in Hollywood of being in the rainbow gang.

He even took a shot at Jamie last week for endorsing Obama. Then he shyt on Cam Newton a few weeks back. He hasn’t been on The Breakfast Club in years for a reason. :snoop:

You can have the least amount of talent and be the most successful in the entertainment industry. All you have to do is not be an a$$hole but alas… :francis:

And it's super easy not to be an a$$hole. Most of Corey's beef or roasting are not even warranted. Like 90 percent of the people Corey has burned bridges with didn't even do anything to him,He initiated it

Calling people gay unprovoked is more important than career progression I guess

Patrice O'Neal was well respected by his comedy peers. Anyone who's done stand-up in NYC knew him and has stories. He was a staple in the scene.

Corey Holcomb is a small fish in comparison. Most people don't know him. What city does he stay at? You really can't compare the two.

Before Patrice died, he had just started getting stand-up / roast gigs for Comedy Central. He also did appearances on Fox News and SiriusXM. He was building bridges more than he was burning any.

You didn't answer my questions or point out where I'm wrong. :sas1:

Patrice was known and respected by comedians of all races and he had a presence on multiple mediums across the board.
Corey Holcomb is a niche comedian who got put on by Godfrey who until relatively recently was a niche comedian himself.

I think you're right. I used to listen to Opie and Anthony one of the biggest radio shows he was a popular guest staple, Patrice was in the NYC Comedy scene too, all those guys knew him the even annual show for him after his death.
