Funding For Southern Maryland Light Rail Project Passes In General Assembly

I’d say it’s about time :yeshrug: That stretch of Branch Ave got decent density to support a light rail. My thing is, are they gonna expand Branch Ave/301 an extra lane or two to accommodate the new train and to ease congestion during construction once this proposal officially gets the green light to get off the ground?

this is huge. Property values in Charles county are gonna skyrocket if this goes through.

NoVA is mad nice I wish it was cheaper and had a bigger black cultural presence. shyts bland af
VA is kicking Maryland's ass economically, Maryland needs to a overhaul in its government fr

That’s one thing I can definitely agree with somebody from VA on. Maryland got a better cultural presence for us Black folks but VA is the main economic giant in the region and even Silicon Valley been looking at VA over the years too. I can’t front, Maryland can be such an anti-business state at times :francis:

And I feel like we got the better architecture compared to NoVa but it would be nice to have some of that type of development money over here.

And yeah, it would be nice if NoVa was a lot cheaper than it is now because some of those high rise cribs near Clarendon-Courthouse and that whole Wilson Blvd corridor as well as the residential boom in Potomac Yards look sweet as hell :whoo::whew:
