If you live with your fellow first year associates, you'll be in Dupont circle, Logan circle, Columbia heights, Navy Yard, Waterfront.
(Gallery Place/" Chinatown" has gen pop. U Street is ideal for "entertaining" but very ratchet. City Center is really nice but probably a bad investment, and everything else is too far, imo)
But since you're living with those "rich" white people, even if you make the same money or more, you will be considered the riff raff.
You can live pretty much anyways east of the park and west of the river on that salary
