Yall been following the Dacara Thompson story? They found her body and the arrested the guy who presumably murdered her. Build the fukkin wall, bruh.
Yes, I've been following this story, and I just heard the bad news. This involving Hyattsville, and Bowie, hits too close to home. They don't usually mess with our women like that in those areas, but today it wouldn't surprise me, after I took my car to have some work done at that Firestone off Riverdale Rd. in Riverdale last September, which sits right next to the now closed Riverdale Theater. I got my first real apartment within walking distance from there, after living in this real small start-up apartment in Langley Park for a year. Anyway, this area in Riverdale had turned into mostly foreigners by the early 80's, after formerly being populated by mostly poor white trash. But those foreigners didn't bother us, but they'd cut a white boy up at the drop of a hat. Even though they had gangs, they still didn't mess with us, even though there were only a few of us in those apartments...not even a handful, tbh. The funny thing was, the few sisters that lived in those apartments, were all fine, and I mean fine.
But when I went to have my car worked on at that same Firestone in September, and decided to take a walk in my old neighborhood across the street in those apartments, I nearly got jumped...and I'm an old dude compared to when I first moved there 37 years ago, and stayed for five years. One of those young hispanics had walked past me as I was walking back towards Riverdale Road, and did a bird heckle type sound, the exact same sound this young hispanic dude made back around 92, when his boys came out, ready to slice up this White boy, who had bucked on him. They had that White boy apologizing big time. That White boy knew a few Black people I guess. I believe he had been locked up with the brother I was drinking beer with that night, or he once lived in Palmer Park with him. Anyway, being a white boy, he got a few drinks in him, and started running off at the mouth to that young hispanic dude, and got what he had coming to him, quick. But I never in my darkest day, thought one of those hispanics in that area, would do that bird heckle sound on me, during broad daylight, at my age, for no reason, so close to the main road. That dude probably wasn't even born the last time I walked near those apartments, and on Riverdale Rd.
All I can say is, that environment changed, and we've also became their object of hate, like the white boys did. And they don't respect our elderly men, and never really did, when they're in groups. I've even seen this down here in ATL, and we can't sleep on them. And they care nothing about you being friendly down here. I learned that the first week I moved in my house, and had them put in my hardwood floors, then turned around and refused to put in the trim, since I was alone. I even gave them cold water earlier, when they asked. Now I know those two buzzards were testing me, and took my kindness for weakness...they weren't even young either. And you wonder why so many of us no longer give a f*** about them. We really underestimate the hate and disrespect a lot of them actually have for us.
You may be wondering what Riverdale have to do with this, if you're not from PG. If you are, than you probably know Hyattsville, Riverdale, and Langley Park, are heavily mixed, especially Riverdale and Langley Park. And they're side by side, or very close to one another in that part of PG. However, Bowie got their share of hispanics too. Anyway, when I saw what almost happened to me in September near that Riverdale Firestone, then it doesn't surprise me that this young sister disappeared near this area...although it may have been several miles away. I'm still disturbed by it, and to be honest, I had no problem with ICE rounding up those illegals, after seeing how they now feel about us, and what they're really capable of doing. When they came to the DMV, I was hoping they'd start at Riverdale first. Now, I really hope they step on the gas pedal.
But I still can't help from wondering why she met up with that old creep that late at night in the first place, if the real story is going the way the media has reported it so far. Maybe he was asking for help, then kidnapped her. They tend to trust those types a little too much, especially at that age.
Sorry for being so long-winded here. But like I said, this hits a little too close to home, growing up in PG, and being very familiar with that part.
