It's not anymore racially segregated than Manhattan or Houston.

If anything, it's economically segregated.

Rich people live with other rich people, and within that there's a fair amount of diversity.

And even there, DC forces new buildings to have some low income apartments in buildings for rich transplants. And that goes as well as you might expect.

DC doesn't really have low income white folks and/or blue collar white folks like you see in Baltimore/Philly/NYC etc. and that definitely creates a certain dynamic in the city
