Spent some time in East Baltimore this weekend and 
idk what to say brehs...I thought I was in the Walking Dead 
When I visit cities, I gotta get out and walk and be around the people. Definitely a different vibe versus DC.

lol of course...this is the capital of the USA, without the government gigs, nobody would be moving here for their career and school. It's a cool city but you basically know everything about it within a couple of years if you actually go out and explore during the weekends.

Yeah East Baltimore ain't there yet. It hasn't gotten that Gentrification stimulus package yet.

when I was there I knew of an after hours spot at the top of 18th st and there was one across from what was then DC's Finest. Both places were known spots to get that yowder if you were looking. It was pretty low quality thoDC really just has a few areas in general for nightlife.
U-Street Corridor, Adams Morgan, H-Street Corridor, DuPont, G'Town mainly
you got some other pockets here and there but that's about it.
Also, DC needs spots that open till like the crack of dawn.

It depends on what you consider nightlife. Lot of Chads and Beckys around those parts
i've never been out in Clarendon tho i used to live in Virginia Square

It’s off of Central Ave in Cap Heights at the shopping center were the IHOP and giant beauty supply store are. It’s Black-owned and they be having fairly priced vegan Soul Food and Caribbean food along with smoothies, blended juices, and alkaline water. They be playing some good music in there too like Neo Soul, 90’s Hip Hop, and positive Rap music like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Mos Def, ATCQ, Common, etc. There’s also a lil marketplace/bazaar area inside where people be selling African and Pro-Black clothing, jewelry, beauty/bath/body products, oils, incense, etc. They be having events up in there too like lectures, expos, live band performances, etc. Professor Griff did a lecture up in there two years ago for example.

Adams Morgan be the spot for me and my friends whenever we hit the city up for a night out. Had a lot of good memorable times there 2015-2016

I wasn’t feeling Heaven & Hell tho....Too ratchet for my tastes and I normally welcome a decent amount of ratchetry in the club. Btw y’all, you guys should hit up this place Downtown called Penn Social. It’s a big sports bar on the first floor but the basement is where the lounge is...It got a dance floor with a dope ass DJ, full service bar with good prices, games on deck (stuff like ping pong and shyt), and best of all, plenty of fine ass females on deck
The females are either a lil boujee or a lil ratchet but overall, they don’t go overboard with it. It’s a pretty mixed crowd too, the sistahs be fine as hell and if you’re into white girls, some of them would fit the PAWG description. Also another major plus, entry is free 
The guards will just do a quick ID check and search on you before they let you inside. This was the place where I saw nikkas beat their feet to Jersey Club 
They was getting it tho lol. It’s on 801 E Street NW. Nearby Metro stations are Gallery Place, Nat’l Archives, and Metro Center (Gallery will be the closest of the three).
If you’re driving, it being Downtown, street parking can be kinda tight.
The basement lounge opens on Fridays and Saturdays and stays open til 3:00 am.
Been to Penn Social once for HH on a Thursday. Pretty chill crowd like you said. But this was like a year and a half ago. Haven't been since, this past year I've mainly been doing house parties and such.
I need to get back into the scene.
