Anybody in the area into biking? I’ve been riding the Capital Crescent Trail from Bethesda to Georgetown on weekends when the weather cooperates. About 7 miles one way...It’s downhill in that direction, so it not a strenuous route. I either Uber back to Bethesda or ride an e-bike all the way back lol. I use the DC bikes...there’s stations all along the trail.

I also rollerbladed some of the Indian Head rail trail...it’s not much to look at but it’s flat and a smooth surface which is perfect for blades.

I do bike in the area. One of my favorite trails is the Mt. Vernon trail in Old Town Alexandria. I think it's 18 miles round trip and runs along the Potomac. Check it out.

College Park and Takoma park on the come up. This Purple line was needed at least 5 if not 10 yrs ago though. Better late than never.
that baltimore ave corridor could be the MD answer to Clarendon-Ballston if Maryland plays its cards right. That area is diverse, has new and old construction, access to DC and Baltimore through the MARC, etc. the spanish folk gonna be gentrifed out tho, so expect to see more Spanish folks in central/southern PG.

Purple line needs to be extended to Largo too since Largo is also next up.

Good look...I went out there today on my in-line skates.

I went from dangerfield island to Rosslyn and back today. It’s a dope trail...wasn’t too crowded because it was a weekday.

On the come up, them areas been solidified.

And Takoma has a very strong Association situation, so aint much gonna be done around there

Not Takoma, but Takoma Park right next to Langley Park. The area with the large Salvadorian and Latino community. College Park still has more room for growth. That and the bordering parts of Greenbelt. The Purple line is going to be a very, very big game changer for the region.

One big issue is the traffic on Rte 1 going south towards DC. Pretty much once you get off 495 near the Ikea all the way down to Hyattsville is just one big slow moving slog of cars.
