Going into DC this weekend using the metro…
Uhh, how do you pay? Are there pay stations at every metro station? Do you get physical tickets? Digital?
I can count how many times I’ve used public/mass transportation on one hand. Like, explain it to me like I’m 5.

When you get to the station, buy a SmartTrip card. That's what you'll need to pay your fare, and they don't take cash.

We’ll be traveling with our kids. Does each rider need their own card? Or can you like…assign multiple tickets to one card?

When I take my kid on the train with me, I only use my SmartTrip card. The station workers have never given me any problems about it.
