I guess it was supposed to be 13 eps but production was so troubled they stopped filming a month early and reduced it to 10

And yet trash ass Titans is getting a second season? :beli:

There’s drama that went on with swamp thing. This isn’t about quality or ratings. Something happened and no one is saying what but when they initially cut the episode order down, there were talks of some shyt happening. Idk if it’s money or creative friction or what. But they just stopped production full stop.

Like every other initiative, DC Universe is being reevaluated following the completion of AT&T acquisition of Time Warner as WarnerMedia has put an emphasis on the launch of a new streaming platform. There have been questions how DC Universe fits into those plans.

There already had been chatter that new leadership of WarnerMedia was not particularly high on Swamp Thing whose order was reduced from 13 to 10 episodes in April.

Has it been one year yet for the making of DC Universe? Ridiculous. Young Justice could end up being a one off after all these years.

And there goes my subscription. I stuck around for Doom Patrol. It was well worth the money. I also really enjoyed the first episode of Swamp Thing. But to cancel it right after the first episode? They didn't even wait for the season to be done. So why waste my time and money on something that I know isn't coming back?

that's one of my fears as well as my daughter.. we wait 6 years for YJ season3 only to get a one and done.. it doesn't feel right.. I mean S4 is not announced yet.. it takes 6 months to complete an episode.... at this rate IF there is a S4 we wont see anything until 2021

Tax error on North Carolina's part and the budget was huge. Here's a thread

Season 2 is being shopped to other Networks though, HBO & Netflix were mentioned

how they catch the "error" so soon.. I work for NYC and errors are usually spotted on an audit way after.. or in the beginning before anything even starts.. not usually midway....
I would just suggest the government's new budget got released and they defunded those tax cuts..

edit: I read through some of his tweets... seems like Swamp Thing was "eligible" for some tax cuts... so they probably started work assuming they would get approved but didn't or the grant was lower than expected.

and he posted an article where it says NC almost eliminated filming funds

Also there's been a problem with filming in NC recently regarding tax breaks and other things.
