Let's try to keep this troll free and have a real dialogue...
The Donald came, saw, and conquered....
Doesn't matter if you hate him, love him, or love to troll others that you love him. What he did was beyond unprecedented.
So let's look at the state of things, trump has some extreme ideas and has control of the house and senate similar to what Obama had.
Now what happens to the democratic party???
Who are the rising stars and the future leader of the party? Also another question that has to be asked was this phenomenon with trump a one time thing? Here are a few of my thoughts...
I think from a national perspective, people will blame Hillary not being a good politician, Bernie supporters, and Gary Johnson. But things like this to tend to be psychoanalyzed instead of just looking at facts. That means despite job growth and Obama's approval rating, Clinton still got washed.
I don't want to say it but it's obvious Trump tapped into something with the majority of whites in this country. I feared the Bradly effect with Obama that people would publicly say in polls they would vote for Obama but when they're in that booth, would that let a black man run the country and they did twice.
If you look below the surface this was there 8 1//2 years ago. When that old white lady called Obama a muslim and Mccain said no he's not and I just disagree with. He lost then, because a lot of whites didn't feel he was one of them. Four years later, Romney was seen as elite plus the 47% killed him because that included whites. Trump has more money than both of them and he made it about the people instead of himself.
As far as rising stars. I don't know who in four years you could put against Trump. Hillary political career is over and has been a failure of so many levels and Bernie is old, Warren is old and too extreme. Obama can't run again. Tim Kaine wouldn't beat pence or trump in a presidential race.
So Breh's where does the party go from here?????
