No idea what the original release did but the remaster alone sold 2 mill on PS4 and 360.

It also released on PC and Switch.

My point is, if it was a flop :yeshrug: cool but they ported the game four times and made a Netflix anime based on it.

So it would seem they have some sort of interest in the franchise, but like @Anti-Anime said Hideaki Itsuno was given a choice of the next game to work on and he did "Devil May Cry 5".

Having said that, "DMC5" came out 3 years ago so that's no reason for them not to announce a sequel by now.

High key at the time it came out Dragon's Dogma was in a lane all by itself and could have put that market in a choke hold if they would of stuck with it. No game has really been able to get it right like this game did.
