I don't think that's really the case, I think things just change in general and you can attribute that to the party in power.

The real change that matters is the changes that are usually promised, and are never delivered. That's the problem with the idea of elections making a difference

yes, they do change things. I'm not sure what serious argument could be made to the contrary

states have medical marijuana through voting. states have same-sex marriage because of voting. I don't know how you can act like these types of things aren't "change"
