As soon as FIFA officially moved the tournament from summer to Nov & Dec, FOX decided to just do the bare minimum to fulfill their contractual obligations. They were legit heated at having to find timeslots in the middle of NFL and college football season and might have sued had FIFA not thrown in coverage of 2026 as a pacifier.

Always need a warm up game before the tournament starts proper. Again, another reason why this was all a terrible idea.
Argentina, Germany, Belgium, Ghana, all have friendlies this week. Why? Those players haven't been run into the ground enough?

Serbia and Denmark are two dark horses for me. But if Mitrovic is out then I don't know. I believe Canada could do well too, like make it out of their group, they're not flashy but a well-coached team and tough to play against. But Concacaf teams that look good playing in their confederation sometimes get exposed on the big stage. I'm backing Holland too but they're a quality team so I don't think it's fair to call them a dark horse, but they could go all the way imo
