I missed the Japan/Croatia match but I just watched the highlights on YouTube.

Damn, it sucks that Japan lost. I wanted Japan to win and they looked like the better team.

Those penalties from Japan were predictable and atrocious.

Hate that about this sport, too easy for the better side to lose and then just going to penalties is WOAT.

Were you there for the "golden goal" years?

At least now in extra time you play the full 30 minutes no matter who scores so there's a chance for redemption. Back then the game would end as soon as a goal was scored. It was a lot more dramatic. Fans and teams would lose all hope in one moment.
