Also, what’s funny is how Haaland sticks out like a sore thumb to the younger fans. “All he does is score goals. He doesn’t track back, link up well or press.”

In the 90s/00s, that’s all you wanted your striker to do. Now, it looks weird to today’s fan as his style and position seems antiquated. And yet, look at how effective it is.

Benzema is my personal favorite striker.
Benzema is unique because he’s a hybrid of those two eras I talked about. When Ronaldo was at Madrid, he was more than happy to play the supporting role and his link up play was outstanding.

Now he’s the the main man at Madrid, the casual fan is now starting to give him credit which proves my point. He sacrificed playing the classic CF role for the benefit of the team.

Now the team serves him, people can see why he’s up there with the best.

Come on Aaronson. Where the hell is Reyna? Like Eurobrehs probably don’t know but he’s our best player and he’s played 10 minutes all tournament :gucci:
