Mercedes was done with Lewis after 2025 regardless he needed to secure his future because he wasnāt retiring so it was either Ferrari or retirement.
I donāt think Mercedes upper management was as cool with the political stuff as was suggested and politics plus a lack of results and Mercedes upper management being less involved in F1 it was inevitable.
I don't understand the excitement of seeing Lewis drive these scarlet shytboxes. Ferrari hasn't fielded a competitive car in most years since Seb's streak at Red Bull. Going to Red Bull would have actually made sense. Ferrari has managed second place AT BEST 6x since Brawn existed in 09. One of those years was when the W13 was absolute dogshyt and Ferrari still only finished ahead of Mercedes by ~40 points. Ferrari has nothing going for it. Never had since Schumacher left.
Italians will be on his dikk day 1 but if the results are not immediate don't be surprised when they hit the
