Sainz was massive in sector two all qualy, in the final run he went two tenths faster in sector one. I expect he pushed too hard and his tyres got too hot.

Its the opposite. The Ferraris couldn’t fire the tires up. Mercedes did after adjusting the setup post-FP3.

Sainz often does better than Leclerc when the setup is off or the conditions aren’t optimal.
