Merc really need to call the season quits in terms of development and do 2 years of development before next season Sir Lewis cant go out like this. theyve been out developed twice by customer teams. I dont feel like they have a understanding of the regulations and keep hoping"data gathering" is goign to help. aston and mclaren went and just got people from RB who clearly understand whats going on.

hopefully im cynical and the rumor of someone messing up their model in the winter was right and simply they cant do alot fundamentally with what they have but the solution is ready and understood. if not they truly need to get someone in who understands the aero efficiency needed to assist allison.

my suspicion is a mixture of the above. i think they are lacking in downforce specifically in the straights and dont have the drs advantage their comp has seemed to show. without DRS they are a clear second.
