Hold up breh Tearaway is a Vita port with new functionality. Not new at all.
I embrace new IP's because we're drowning in sequels. In the first year of the PS3 we had new IP's like crazy. Xbone had new IP's at the very same conference that are AAA.
The new shyt I saw was I.P (unknown entity this point), that teenage horror game that didnt make it to PS3, and Hellblade(?). Colour me not impressed. I still hold my dualshock up in pride but this was a lacklustre showing from Sony especially considering they showed no new No Mans Sky footage. Easily my most anticipated PS4 game (which just so happens to be an indie).
the only people to blame for that are gamers....you might imbrace new ips, but the majority of gamers dont....at least not with their wallets/purses....that's why there is so many sequels and clones of games...people complain about them, but when a new gta, cod, madden, etc. drop, they sell like hotcakes...a new ip drops and it's *crickets* for the most part...it's not until the game usually gets a sequel or reviewers keep harping on it, do most gamers give new ips a chance....that's why ms and sony arent taking chances like that with big budget titles, and going the indie route....the games are cheaper and fill the void of games on the systems....i mean, just look at all the dev studios that keep closing and/or being bought out...
as for announcing new things: this is the first year of the gen...how much did you realistically expect them to reveal?....they not gonna tell you about everything they got in the works...it's year 1....and like i said, if they did, yall would complain about the release dates....
