You picked the best time to get back into it, they just added a new area with 3 islands and a week from now they're adding two more islands to it.

Baal uses a pole arm. I know it's confusing because you see her with a sword but she only uses a sword during her elemental burst. Kinda like how Tartaglia has both a bow and swords.
As far as artifacts, her damage and kit scales off energy recharge. This set was made specifically for her:

Making light work out of mobs. Dude is one of the best characters I’m convinced
Between him and Zhongli far as I'm concerned. I'm 100% gonna max out his constellations, even though it's not necessary. Dude is the funnest character in this game, no question.
I agree his gameplay feels extremely fluid. Plus his cooldowns end right when you're done shuffling through the team for that swirl
New character banner is Baal (obviously) and the 4* are Kujou Sara (electro bow, Baal's top goon from the cutscenes), Sucrose, and Xiangling.
New weapon banner is Engulfing Lightning (5* pole arm, her signature weapon) and The Unforged (5* claymore they ran before).
Not sure what the 4* weapons will be. If you don't have Wolf's Gravestone then The Unforged is a good substitute.
Also, Baal character trailer came out earlier today:
No idea what that means but I'm intrigued.

If you're on PC or phone or....pretty much anything other than a Sony produce make sure you download the game and link your PS4/5 account. That way you get her on the 1st.
Otherwise you gotta wait until 2.2.
As far as the character....no idea how good she'll be but she's a free 5* so
I'll probably level her at some point.

I'll get Aloy on PS4. For some reason I'm not all that hyped for her anymore.

Probably because we know so little about her.
All her stats have been up on Honey Hunters for months but usually by now (if this was any other new character) there would be a ton of info on how she plays, her damage, team comps, etc.
I haven't seen any at all. It's weird. I assume it's partially because she's dropping the same update as Baal, who is an archon.

From what I'm hearing she's like a cross between Bennett and Fischl. Does AOE electro damage and gives your party an attack buff.
I got 103 wishes saved up for Baal so hopefully I get Kujou Sara too and at least a few constellations.

Breh I need y’all help I’m stuck
I have been playing the game doing missions not entirely sure how everything works but got the gist of it but anyway right now my world level is 3 and I got 4 characters at the 40 level(Razor,Mona,Diona,Traveler or main character not sure name) but in order for me to ascend past level 40 or whatever I require parts from electro hypothesis and Oceanids problem is when I see these guys in the world they are level 51
and I can’t do shyt against them.
How the hell am I supposed to level up?

Lower your world level.
