No lie my cousin picked me up from work the other day and this song came on the ipod. It got to the chorus and he turned the radio up slightly like when your homies are trying to get you to hear a part of a song. He kept looking at me out the side of his eye, trying to gauge my reaction. I go to change the station and he grabs wrist and says no, cause then the car battery will dieIf u want macklewhore to win, u are a fakkit that supports gay rights.

This year Jay-Z leads all nominees with 9 nominations, Kendrick Lamar and the two Cacs have 7 each. Kendrick's and Macklemor's nominations include the "prestigious" Album Of The Year nomination. If Kendrick wins he will join one of only two other Hip Hop artists to take home the AOTY (Lauryn Hill and Outkast being the other two respectively)
This me, but honestly these noms are terrible
did u just call macklemore a hip hop artist and then say macklemore dropped a better project than Hov??Kendrick or macklemore are cemented winners for RAOTY... since they are the only hip hop artists nominated for AOTY.
and tbh, we all know hay-z has no chance, he had the worst album in that category, many mangazines say he doesn't even deserve that nom.
u and ya 50 acccts need that Bushes treatment asap
gotta disagree. an album telling the struggle of a black kid in an urban landscape winning the greatest award at the grammys which has rarely ever acknowledged the musical quality of the black community would be a tremendous accomplishment and moment for hip hop. to admit to the world that an album about a black kid in compton was the best album in all of music would be big.As far as Hip Hop needing Kendrick to win AOTY, no it doesn't. Then again, I think a lot of you take this more seriously than I do (and more so than most people I know do). It'll be a twitter moment and a feather in someone's cap but that's about it. It's not going to change the landscape of music or how a genre is perceived.
