A few more questions. Never jailbroke a iPhone before.
Redsnow... cydia... do I download aptbackup, pkgbackup too? And are those in iTunes of cydia store?
Is there any precautions I need to know about?

Those backup apps don't work. Redsnow is basically one click. Never update your phone if you're trying to be jailbroken

Warning: If you depend on unlock, better stay away from RedSn0w, Limera1n and Greenpois0n because these tools requires you to be running iOS 4.1 which comes with 05.14.02, 02.10.04 baseband (not unlockable ATM) and wait for an UltraSn0w update or use PwnageTool to preserve current baseband.

First of all, fukk ALL YOU nikkaZ (possibly not you porque)
I'm over here with my shyt all locked up. nikkaz givin me half assed links to shyt I already been too

So I unlock and jailbreak pretty quickly/easily. But since nobody is helping?
Once I put IOS 6 on this, I'm chillin in loop right now
Redsnow doesn't wanna recognize my IPSW.. I downloaded the iPhone2,1_6.0.1 joint.. once I tried to put that on, my shyt has been ever since

I'm getting "That ipsw is not supported by this version of redsnow"
I'm guessing thats my only issue (hopefully) but I don't know if I should download it again from a different site, or am I fukked already?

If I do the recovery fix in redsnow, it wont fix shyt. I'll be back in 30...

If you're on 6.0.1 you can't jailbreak.

dog, you never update when you're jailbroken until a new jailbreak for the next version drops. im still on iOS 6 for both my phone and ipad. im waiting for that full jailbreak breh.

I can't even restore at this point, but jailbreakin 6.0.1 has been done for a second now
Not all devices, but it is on the 3gs

On redsnow I get the "missing keys.plist data for this build

Put the phone in DFU mode and hook it to iTunes and youll be able to restore. Listen to me next time instead of updating like a dummy




Also there is a tethered jailbreak for 6.0.1. but its not even worth it to do that so just wait until an untethered jailbreak comes out. Sorry I have a life so I didnt see all the shyt you got yourself into until just now

you need to get it off recovery mode

I dont really remember how to do it but I believe TinyUmbrella will do it for you

Put that ho in DFU mode I take it youre on windows? If its not recognizing it but redsn0w is then idk what the fukk is up...but you can do a "restore" with redsnow if you point it to 6.0.1. Im gone off some absinthe so thats the most I can do for you
