it seems like in Android you could copy and paste single words easily but on iOS its trying to copy whole paragraphs instead of picking the single word until i fight with it.

if your having trouble with a word you might be better off zooming in to it and then pressing it to highlight it

Yea it's more like an Ipad 3S than anything... I think the reason Apple even did it this year was to have ALL of their newer products have the lightening connector as to avoid fragmentation...
