The only joke here is you. You are protesting in a country that you're not a citizen in. Basic common sense will tell you that's not a smart decision.

Some of you are so shortsighted and stupid that you are the very reason that this country will become an autocracy. Greencard holders have first amendment rights, this has been litigated by the Supreme Court ("Bridges V. Wixon).

Green card holders also pay taxes, add to the economy, are subject to US jurisdiction (can be tried criminally for offenses).

Why should they not be allowed to peacefully protest against the Government? In what ways do you contribute that they do not?

The lack of knowledge regarding history and how authoritarian governments work is baffling. An authoritarian government may first implement their draconian policies against non-citizens, but those policies will eventually be implemented against citizens. Even if you're an amoral jackass who only cares about yourself, you should be concerned with how this government treats non-citizens because it will eventually affect you.

See the link below regarding a new policy they are trying to implement to REVOKE THE PASSPORTS OF CURRENT US CITIZENS

Republican plan would make it easier to revoke US passports: What to know

Do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing that a United States permanent resident was detained and is now being deported for peacefully protesting the foreign policy of the US government?
What I think is right is irrelevant. Focus on what the law says.

The law (as adjudicated by SCOTUS) says that permanent residents have First Amendment rights, not sure what you are misunderstanding. The Supreme Court has ruled on this before. The Trump Administration has demonstrated over and over that they don't care about the law.

Well a judge disagrees so I guess next step is SCOTUS right wing court?

Port workers just blocked a ship in the port of Ravenna that was supposed to load explosives and ammunition coming by truck from Austria, originally produced in Hungary and Czech Republic.

The port union quickly organized around 60 local NGOs:

After the port union rebelled, the mayor and the regional government managed to officially block the shipment:

Kier seems to be getting the approval of President Trump

We all know politicians are liars, but it's crazy seeing the leaders of the most powerful nations on earth lying to the public like this. Actual Israeli's (including government officials) have been criticizing Netanyahu for intentionally sabotaging negotiations with Hamas but our own leaders are telling us that it is Hamas that doesn't want to negotiate.

Starmer is going to go down as one of the worst leaders of the Labor Party in modern history.

No, because for too long a lot of you shythawks have been laundering your terrible, status quo opinions through "just asking questions, some are saying" depersonalized language to avoid bearing responsibility for the ugliness of your own beliefs. So instead of this "who? me?" routine, just answer the question. Do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing that a United States permanent resident was detained and is now being deported for peacefully protesting the foreign policy of the US government?

I was reading about human rights in Gaza under Hamas today. Pretty grim stuff and it would be really shortsighted to let them continue to control Gaza whatever the outcome of this armed conflict is.
